Welcome to the latest issue of The Earth Land Chronicles. This article will a relatively sarcastic overview of things in the Fairy Tail series, which will probably be presented in chronological order. This could include main villains, Dragon Slayers, Celestial Spirits, probably in the order they were revealed. Our first series will be the story arcs of Fairy Tail, with an arc being done each month. So let's continue with the X791 arc.
Greetings, readers. With the Tenrou Island arc over we've got the coming of arguably the worst timeskip in manga history. Oh, well. It happened and we have to put up with it. Such is the nature of being an animanga fan. Anyways, it's now the year X791 in Fiore and things have changed greatly. Let's find out how everyone does, people.

Bisca, Romeo and Alzack walking.
So, continuing from where the last arc left off, Romeo is waiting out by the sea. It's been seven years since the Team Tenrou disappeared and there's been no sign of them. Naturally, he's said cause his mentor in plot Magic was among those who disappeared. Joined by the now-married Alzack and Bisca Connell, the young plot magic user-to-be takes his time around town.
As we probably expected, the guild has fallen to shambles. No jobs means no money and thus every smart member jumped ship. Naturally, we're thus left with everyone we used to know well enough. Nab got fat and is as lazy as ever (some things never change), Droy got fat as hell while Reedus got skinny. Everyone else just went through other changes like clothes and hairstyles.
As it turns out, Macao is the new Guild Master and Wakaba is his advisor (no wonder the guild is in shambles) and he borrowed money from Twilight Ogre, the new top guild in town which is certainly not a reference to Edward Cullen or the sparkly vampires. When they can't pay, the guild gets trashed and that's when Reedus' old sketches are conveniently discovered so us readers can know what's happened these last 7 years. But it's when all this crap is happening that the Trimens from Blue Pegasus show up and tell the gang that Tenrou Island might still exist.
Friendship always wins.
Out on the sea, we find out that it does indeed exist and it was saved from Acnologia by the founder of Fairy Tail, Mavis Vermilion, who looks like a kid even though she should be 100+. With her Fairy Sphere, she held off the attack that supposedly destroyed an entire country, and allowed everyone to go back to Fairy Tail and save Romeo from the returning members of Twilight Ogre. With their old friends back, everyone sheds tears as their 7 years of loneliness has ended justlikethat.
No timeskip is complete without us audience members learning what has changed besides the characters. Something has happened to Jellal, Ultear and Raven Tail. In addition, Natsu and Happy's place has been robbed while the girls in Fairy Hills have massive payments to make.
Similarly, Lucy has to pay a ton of rent or she can't get back in her apartment. Good thing for her that the landlady is not charging interest and doesn't seem to have hiked up the rent. Still, she doesn't have the money but decides to go visit her dad, but not ask him for money. Right.....
So upon arriving, Lucy is told that her dad actually passed away a money before. While visiting his grave, she isn't quite at tears but clearly feels bad. In a lovely coincidence, two girls walk by talking about how they hate their fathers and wish them dead, causing Natsu to shout at them. Does Lucy really hate her father at this point since she's not crying over his death? Well, Natsu doesn't really think so.
You pissed off the wrong girls.
Over at Twilight Ogre, Makarov is speaking and tells them they need more time to pay back the money. When the Twilight Ogre's fatass master whose name I can't remember demands it immediately, Makarov in an epic moment looms over him and tells him that they'll pay back not only the money, but also the pain cause, prompting Erza and Mirajane to transform and kick the crap out of the entire guild.
A real heartfelt moment in Fairy Tail.
While this is happening, Lucy is grabbed by her landlady and tossed back into her room with absolutely no explanation. That is, until we see her room and find out that her father sent her gifts every year on her birthday and he also just sent 7 years worth of rent to her. Reading out a letter where he tells her his true feelings, Lucy begins to cry before running out with Natsu and Happy on a job soon after, ending this arc.
Among our other noteworthy things to mention here is the growing closeness of Gildarts and Cana, who recently made their familial relationship known. During a visit from Lamia Scale, we find that they're now the #2 guild in Fiore but #1 isn't gonna be told to us for a while. Simultaneously, this is the start of a little love triangle between Lyon, Juvia and Gray, which we're gonna see for the next little while even though we know where it's all gonna end up. Oh, and a certain guild is up to something and the time for the Wizard Saint meeting is drawing closer at hand.
Well, that's all for this arc. A relatively short arc which we once considered to be part of the Grand Magic Games before the whole KotSS stuff walked up on us. Speaking of which, you're gonna have to join us next money as we take a look at Fairy Tail's largest filler arc (to date).
Not really about fanservice in so far as I'm bringing it up but I just need to say this. If you're a girl and you're gonna visit your dad, don't ever dress like this >_> Save it for your boyfriend. Till then!

Welcome back to Fairy Fiction everyone! Thanks for all of the feedback last month. I've taken the requests from the polls to bring you this months addition, so hopefully you enjoy :D
First, can I just offer an apology of sorts. Last month I reviewed "Hard Liquor" and stated that it was unfinished. Unfortunately, when I went to check the number of chapters to put it in the article, I didn't realise that the 33rd chapter had been released only a few days earlier, and as such mistook it for the 32nd - which I had most recently read. Turns out the 33rd chapter is the last in Miss Mungoe's amazing series, so that fic is actually complete. Just thought I'd clear that up ;D
Now... There will be smutfiction -as per you guys' request- in this addition. I know you guys are all mature, smart and respectful adults... Oh fuck, who am I kidding...? I'm going to get so much shit for this >__> Basically, what I want to say is: You don't like it, don't read it. I don't want anyone coming to me and complaining because of what I put here. I'm just trying to bring you guys what you want.

☆ Helpful Phrases ☆
Okay, for those of you who are unaware of fanfiction, or not as immersed in it as I am, I'll just run through a few terms I may use or that may be important for you whilst you are reading. These can include acronyms or just jargon that you will find a lot if you look at the stories on fanfiction.net, or any other fanfiction website.
A/U: A simple acronym that means 'Alternate Universe'. AU fanfiction usually takes on one of two mediums. Either A, the fanfiction involves all of the characters from the original story, but put in a different world (i.e: Natsu and Lucy living in New York) or B, the characters in their original world, but with slight alterations from the original series (i.e: Fiore, but with no Mages or anything magical). As such, whilst some AU fanfictions can be very similar to the original story if the author, say, keeps Magic and merely changes the setting to a high school, other AU fanfictions can be very unique and differing from the original series.
Crack: A joking term some authors use to describe a story they have written that is likely completely stupid or written just for a laugh. In general, crack fics can hold a variety of features, but are called so because you would have to think the author is on crack to have come up with such ridiculous ideas. Some examples of crack fiction could be a story about Lucy falling in love with Zancrow, or Natsu deciding one day that he wants to be a transvestite.
Drabble: If an author describes their story as a drabble series, it usually means that their story is just a slice-of-life fanfic with nothing much deep and meaningful in terms of plot and character development. Usually these fanfics are just a bit of fun, and not something that you have to focus on incredibly well or remember many details for.
Fanfiction ratings: Every fanfiction on fanfiction.net is categorised into one of 4 categories depending on its content. This starts with K and K+ fiction, which are stories that anyone can read. T fiction comes next, being labelled so because it is advised that people under the age of 13 do not read them. Finally, you get M fiction, restricted to those 18 or older.
Fluff: A term used to describe a fanfiction that contains cutesie, almost cliche romance. The dialogue in conversations is usually not deep and meaningful in any way, rather just there to show the interactions between pairs.
Head Canon: Head Canon is a less popular term than many here, but is used to relate that something that happens in a fanfic is the product of what the author believes happened in the original story, even though it may not necessarily be canon. For example, an author could write a story about Laki during the Grand Magic Games, but detail some trauma she went through during the seven year time skip, even though events of the time skip (for Laki) are unknown. A Head Canon then basically states that the author strongly believes such an event happened, and will write their story as if it did.
Lemon: A fanfiction that warns of lemon is telling you that at some point in the story there will be an explicit sex scene. For those who think that such scenes can't be that bad, lemon fiction is usually only found in the M section of the site, and these fanfics are very, very hardcore when it comes to sex scenes. I'm not talking about two characters falling into a bed together or just kissing, lemon fanfiction is amazingly descriptive. As such, be careful if you don't want to read such things and avoid them.
Lime: A less concentrated version of a lemon. Lime fictions usually just involve characters cuddling or kissing and usually do not contain explicit scenes. Better for people who don't like the full-on nature of lemon fics.
Non-con/Dub-con: You may see these warnings alongside lemon/smut warnings in the description or opening of a fanfic. These warnings stipulate that a sex scene occurs in the fiction where one of the participants is either non-consenting, or has dubious consent. In general these are fictions that include rape, so if this is something that you would not want to read, avoid the fanfic or ask the author for more information before reading ahead.
OC: An OC is an 'Original Character'. Pretty straight-forward. Stories that contain OC's or are about OC's merely contain a character not from the original series, rather someone new the author has created.
OOC: OOC, or 'Out Of Character', is a term some authors and/or reviewers use to describe a character that behaves outside their typical personality of the original series. Sometimes the characters are purposely written differently, but at times the author merely admits that they had trouble writing a certain character into their personality, and will warn readers that something may happen that seems odd for that said character. An example of OOCness could be Gray complimenting Juvia and Juvia reacting by yelling at him, punching him and then walking off for no previously hinted at reason.
One-shot: A one-shot is a story that takes place in one chapter. The author could be telling a short story, expanding a manga scene, or anything they like, however the entire fiction is not continued past the one chapter it contains. One-shots can be great for interesting short stories or lemon fiction, but if you are looking for something with an in-depth plot and character development, one-shots will not be for you. Two-shots, three-shots etc. are the same thing, merely with the number of chapters implied.
Smut: See Lemon - it's the same thing.

Ahhhh, what can I say?? This fic is just a short and light-hearted joke about how Natsu always sleeps in Lucy's bed, and what happens when the guild finds out about it.
In terms of plot, this fic is very simple, but it's also very entertaining and well-written :) Many members of the guild make an appearance, and I enjoy just reading through the shenanigans that ensue.
There is seriously not much more I can say to be honest XD I tip my hat to Starcrossedlover12 for a nice little story.
I give "Sleeping Dragon" a rating of 8.6 out of 10.
Okay... The next two fics off the rack are going to be smutfiction. Now... Though you may not believe me, even smutfiction has its differences, and whilst I do very, very, very much enjoy reading the stuff, I like it to at least have some overall plot. What I mean to say is, there are a lot of smutfics around where the start is the characters falling into bed, and the end is the characters in bed, and whilst these are okay to read, I like there to be a reason for the characters having sex. Sex for the sake of sex in fanfiction gets old.
And so we get "Just for Tonight", the first EVER JellalErza M fiction to be published on ff.net. I know you are rolling your eyes at me for starting with a JellalErza smutfic, but there is actually a very good reason I am.
This fic is three chapters long, BUT -and a very important but this is- each chapter is telling the same story. "What?" you ask... Well, let me explain...
The story takes place before the Tower of Heaven arc, so, you've guessed it, Jellal is still under the control of "Zeref" and hell-bent on resurrecting him. Erza, still not fully aware of everything he is trying to do, is still the weak-minded, confused Mage who loves Jellal and would do anything to see him.
Cue a party at a grand hotel to celebrate one of the Councilmen's daughter's weddings. Makarov, invited to the reception but unable to make it, sends Erza in his place to give Fairy Tail's best wishes. Everything is going okay until Jellal appears as Siegrain, also forced to be at the party due to his status as a Council member.
I won't tell you what happens next - Just go read damn it! XD
"I still don't get why this is so special", you ask. Well, dear reader, this fic is a good starter for those wanting to read smutfiction because the first two chapters do not contain smut at all. They get a bit hot, but nothing too serious.
The first chapter is from Erza's point of view, and the second the same story told again from Jellal's point of view. Both chapters lead up to a sex scene, but this scene is passed over. And this is the beauty of this fic. The third and final chapter is just the sex scene, written from start to finish. As such, if you start to read the story and enjoy it but are getting too repelled by the steamy-ness of the first chapters, you can still read the entire story without having to find places to skip over. This is the reason I have selected this fic to give to you first.
How is the story though?
asianpearl does a great job here. Her descriptions are superb, and she does a GREAT job portraying both Jellal and Erza's personalities - particularly Jellal, who is caught between his love for Erza and the voice in the back of his head that keeps reminding him that he wants/needs to kill her. The tension asianpearl creates between the two is amazing, so it's no wonder things head where they do, but all the while the actual story is just nice - and believable. To top it off, asianpearl writes the story in such a way that it could actually fit into the canon story with ease: something I love. The smut, whilst graphic as expected, is not badly written in any sense, or over-written and unbelievable as it is in other fics. This was the first JellalErza smutfic I read, and I still go back every now an again just to read for the heck of it :)
So, start with chapter one and see how you go. From there on out, just enjoy, because I don't see any reason why you won't ;D

Ahahaha XD Can I just say, this fic is amazingly entertaining ;D I'm not the biggest GrayJuvia fan... In fact, if I'm honest reading stories where the two of them are getting intimate don't sit well with me, because in the actual series Gray is so mean and nasty and against Juvia's contact that I almost don't see them together, even if the fic describes them that way. Don't let this repel you though, "Unbreakable Windows and Breakable Rocks" is a great read ;D
The story is set in an A/U like world where technology and cars and the like exist. To teach Gray a lesson, Natsu breaks into his house and draws a dick on Gray's face as he sleeps, which Gray then unknowingly wears to the guild the next day. In order to get his own revenge, Gray -accompanied by his new girlfriend Juvia- decides to break into Natsu and Lucy's house to do something malicious. As you'd expect, things get a little steamy when the two get into a sticky situation.
"Unbreakable Windows and Breakable Rocks" is very well written. Both Gray and Juvia's actions and speech are written to character perfectly, and everything that happens in this fic is just plain entertaining. I wasn't expecting it to be so funny, but it was. Plus, the story really just mirrored something I'd expect a bunch of retarded friends would do in real life to get back at an enemy.
Things do get a little -scratch that- very hot, but in actual fact this fic has no incredibly full-on smut, like I was expecting. However, if you are a Juvia/Gray fan you will not be disappointed :)
I don't really want to say much more because I'll have to start giving away more plot, and I don't want to do that. Just have fun reading ;D

Okay, so my rumors have been stale for months, so I decided to replace them with a game that will likely be replaced next month when I have time to think of something better. >_> The game is a warped version of "Never Have I Ever...". In my version, you have to complete the crossword puzzle, take the first letter from the correct answers in the crossword puzzle, and then unscramble the letters to form a word, or two, it depends on the week. This week there are two words. The first word is created from the first letters of the answers to: 1-Across, 6-Across, 9- Across, 10-Down. The second word is 10 letters long and is created from the first letters of the answers to: 5-Across, 11-Across, 12-Across, 13-Across, 14-Across, 2-Down, 3-Down, 4-Down, 7-Down, 8-Down.

I'm one of the writers for this very magazine and I also admin the Fairy Tail Answers Wiki. My other on-line hobbies include linearting/colouring for my Deviantart account and writing fanfiction.

In real life I'm your average 19-year-old, sleep-deprived, homework-and-study-procrastinating Australian by the name of Sam. I'm incredibly pessimistic and sarcastic to no end, and truth be told I anger very easily - however, I have the ability to hide my anger well and release it upon unsuspecting stuffed toys at later times. If I do explode at someone... Well, it's not a pretty sight :/ I have the ability to instantly strike up and hold a good conversation with almost anyone I meet, which can make me come across as extremely open and loud. In actual fact, I'm very introverted and a lot of the time not even my best friends or family know what the hell I'm thinking.
In both places I have the ability to talk and talk and talk and talk and never shut up (which you've by now seen through my blog posts and talkpage rants) and I'm also Jellal's biggest fangirl :3

TheCarrotSaysYumYum: *smacks Jak upside the head* Let me see... It would have been around late 2010 that I was in Thailand with 5 of my closest friends and I was looking for a new anime to watch. One of my friends (who at the time was this anime nut... well, more so than I am now) suggested FT (she had only just recently seen the first eps and found Lucy's breast size hilarious) and myself and a friend started to watch it, but I wasn't very impressed. It wasn't until around 5 months later in May 2011 that I picked up the series again out of pure boredom, only this time around I stuck with it and enjoyed it more. When I reached the latest aired ep (it was an ep in the Edolas arc) I wanted to know when the next episode would be released and headed to the Wiki to find out. I had never properly viewed a Wiki before for such reasons, so it was my first time ever going out of my way to look through one. Somehow (heaven knows why) I ended up on Jak's latest chapter blog and remember reading through some stupid discussion between him, Al, Rem, Leli and Hungry. I have never laughed so hard over pure strangers before... I thought you were all insane XD Though I didn't stay long I began to notice that whenever I had a free moment every now and again I'd head back to read the new blogs, always having a great time when I did. From there I picked up the manga because you guys insisted it was better than the anime and came to love FT from the bottom of my heart. After watching the Wiki for around 3 months as an anon, I finally wanted to properly comment and made an account... the rest is history ^___^

TheCarrotSaysYumYum: ( -__-) New users... A breed I sometimes do not understand at all. However, for those of you reading who are new or are thinking about joining us, here is my advice for you:
Watch and Learn: I get it. We are a very open and very friendly community, so I could see why you'd want to jump straight in and immerse yourself with us. If you're anything like I was when I joined, you want people to talk to you (as we do with all of our friends) straight away. You want to edit and show us your skills straight away. You want us to go "Holy shit! A Wiki prodigy" and promote you to admin straight away. I hate to bust your bubble, but the likelihood of these things happening is very slim. My recommendation is that you stay back and watch for a bit. That isn't to say don't talk or edit, but take things slowly. See what edits are reverted and which aren't, learn the personalities of those who edit here and look at how we run the joint. I was on the Wiki for around 4 months before I properly started editing (after joining the ASG) and I truly believe my time just floating about helped me immensely.
Inform Yourself: Read up on our Policies and get to know them! This should be new user rule no. 1! This will not only mean that you know the edits you are making are correct, but also doesn't give us a reason to have to get annoyed at you. It doesn't take that long and is actually very simple and straight forward. It also means that you won't get that nasty Image Policy banner pasted on your talk page for the rest of eternity.
Keep it Relevant, Keep it clean: Really think about something before you edit. Don't just hop on a page and do whatever, stop and think "Is what I'm doing really needed?", "Is what I'm doing following the Layout Policy/other Policies?" and finally "Is what I'm doing going to expand the page in a positive way?". If the answer is no for any of the above, then DON'T PUBLISH!! You may have noticed that beside the 'publish' button is a 'preview' button. USE IT!! That button shows you exactly what will appear on the page you are going to publish. I don't see how some users can edit and re-edit and re-edit when they keep publishing something that doesn't some out the way they wanted. If it doesn't appear the way you want it in preview, DON'T PUBLISH! Try and change it around, and if that doesn't work, leave it and come back later. This preview button should be used every time before you click publish, and I use it EVERY time I go to edit something, even if I am just putting in a link. And, though this is more a personal thing of mine, if you are going to edit a page, try to look over the entirety of it, or at least a whole section. Fixing one typo and then editing again to fix one other typo to me is very edit-count-hungry and just not required. Put in all the effort and make each of your edits count :) On top of this, vandalism is a big no no. We at the FT Wiki give up our own time and effort to bring this to you, why do you feel the need to ruin it?
Introduce Yourself: Come and say hi ;D Make a blog, talk to one of us in a comment thread, leave us a message or jump onto chat. One of the most amazing things about the FT Wiki is the relationships we develop with one another, and how our Wiki is very community based. As long as you aren't threatening to ruin our pages or being rude/disrespectful, we will be as open and engaged as any friend would be. The contrast this Wiki has between the actual FT guild in the series sometimes scares me, so, just as Lucy did when she first joined FT, you too will discover a variety of lovely, intelligent, hilarious and downright retarded people to talk to... It just starts with a simple "hello" ;D
Ask for Help: And finally, if you are having trouble with any of the rules/codes/functions of the Wiki, ASK FOR HELP!! We would much rather spend our time teaching you how to do something properly than fixing your screwed edits or preaching the Policies. This will also help you to get to know us more, and us you. We are a friendly bunch -unlike some other, way stricter Wikis- and will be happy to assist. On this note, if one of your edits is undone, don't whine, just come and ask us why, because odds are there is a valid reason.

Well, though I will not deny that Jellal's character design is incredibly sexy and does help with his appeal as a character, my love and obsession for him stems from a much more legitimate source: his personality and development as a character.
Jellal is the most realistic character in Fairy Tail in my eyes. People do not do horrible things - commit murder, maim people, steal, lie, assault etc.- and not feel any regret or remorse for what they have done. I know many characters in FT do, but they move on from this stage far too quickly. I find they go from evil, hell-bringing enemy to best friend too fast. Sure, I know that one of the main points in FT is forgiveness and second chances, but I feel as if Jellal is the only character that both encompasses this FT ideology and real-world circumstances at the same time. Jellal is hated, he is hunted, he regrets and wants to move on but is still held down by his past. You can't throw such bad things aside so easily. All of the characters in FT have gone through bad things, but these bad things I find haven't shaped their character... All they've done is removed the "layer" they had encased themselves in to show their true personality. Jellal in my eyes is the only character whose past actions have made him who he is in the series. You take away his past and he would be a completely different character, and that is why I love him so much. He isn't the cliché "my bad past made me strong so now I'm strong" person like almost every other FT character is. He isn't mentally strong at all... He suffers so much and as a character is pushed so much and Mashima didn't and doesn't hold back with him at all. I struggle to think of another character I have read about who is so conflicted and yet so compassionate, so twisted and yet so determined.
And then there's his connection to Erza, which just puts the cherry on the cake for me. I'm a sucker for star-crossed lovers, so Jellal and Erza's story is just the most amazing thing I could dream of. Unlike Lucy and Natsu, Gray and Juvia, there is always that thread of doubt with these two. I want them to get together so much... To overcome all of those hurdles set before them. The other couples in FT have it easy... Jellal and Erza have to try and try and try to be together, and that is what makes their love all the more special and important and real to me. No other pairing in FT can hold a candle to them.... at all. End of story.
Jellal's Magic is also insanely awesome, he's part of the coolest and most kick-ass guild in the series and he has the sexiest and most suave voice I have ever heard in anime (I LOVE YOU DAISUKE NAMIKAWA!) <3 Need I say more??

At the time, it was sort of just a thing on the Wiki that I'd turn down any guy that would go for me, and that's when Mega started screwing around. I came to the conclusion that the idiot was screwing with me to try and prove this idea wrong, and that if I ever got sick of it and caved to his actions he'd run around going "See that! See that! I was the user who made Carrot crack... Aren't I fucking awesome?" and I'd get dumped with the embarrassment of having to put up with that. As such, I went out of my way to show that he was having no effect on me.

This went on for a while and I was like "whatever", until one day I logged onto Skype and saw Mega's status, which was something like "I've given up". I asked him what was up and the guy full on turned and had this massive rage at me. True story... I haven't seen Mega be quite so angry is such a way to any person before. He just accused me of being a bit of a jerk and ignoring him and making fun of him, and in that instant I realised that I was the one being the idiot for making assumptions... The whole time he was actually just being his sweet self. So, despite my hatred for lame Wiki marriages and the like, I told him I'd marry him. *looks out the window* MEGA! I KNOW YOU'RE THERE WITH SOME SILLY EXPRESSION ON YOUR FACE! JUST COME OUT ALREADY! D:<
