Review
Okay, so this chapter was actually pretty damn good. I was kind of excited for a Gildarts vs. God Serena smackdown, but this was actually sooooo much better. It kinda pissed me off that Neinhart was able to summon three Spriggan level fighters like it was nothing because that would be the dictionary definition of OP, but seeing that the Spriggans have only a small fraction of their actual strength made the entire situation a lot more reasonable imo. ^___^ Guess we'll never really get to see poor God Serena go all out though. >__< I am glad that Gilly is back and kicking ass though, hopefully his reappearance and badassery will silence all you "geniuses" who thought that Natsu had actually surpassed him. *rolls eyes*
Speaking of badassery, Romeo was on the battle field too (obviously, I jest XD). I actually liked his little scene with Wendy. And no, it's not because I ship them. I literally give no fucks about either of them tbh. XD But I liked the scene because its very realistic. If you are going into a battle facing impossible odds, chances are you're going to be scared shitless (particularly if you're a little boy). :P Elfman was pretty dope too I guess. I love seeing him in new Take Overs, and it was hilarious as hell when he fell into Ajeel's sandpit and was saved by Lisanna. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Lisanna? Doing something useful for once in her life? WHAT KIND OF SORCERY IS THIS?!?! O____O After Lisanna finished doing what was likely the most useful thing she's done in this entire series, my lovely Mira appears and punches Jacob like the bitch he is!!! ^___^ And he's rightfully flustered by her body - don't worry guy, I am too. ♥____♥
Meanwhile, Minerva and Rogue show up and decide to kick some ass as well. ^___^ Are they going to actually be useful now or just be pushed aside for the plot again? Only time will tell. They were also apparently led there by Kinana (good on Mashima for using her for something, lol) and Sting is apparently not with them. I'm sure he'll have some plot significance later on, but I honestly couldn't give two fucks about his character so I won't speculate on what that might be. >_>
At the end of the chapter, Invel stares hard at all the Fairy Tail Mages and I gives no fucks. >_> He's likely going to be paired up in some ungodly boring ice on ice match with Gray and Juvia, and I just canNOT get excited about that nonsense. So... yeah.
Overall, this was a pretty good chapter. Obviously more transition than anything else, but hopefully the next chapters to come will provided us with some good fights... because there have been only one or two in this entire arc. >_>
