Review
Firstly, sorry for the late review and the fact that I've been missing for the last couple of weeks. Shit happens. :D
This chapter picked up where the last one left off with everyone facing off against dead foes/friends from their past. The most noteworthy of these battles, of course, is Erza vs. Azuma, Ikaruga, and Kyouka. As much as I say I don't like Erza's flame pants, I have to admit they do have an upside. When she's using them, she's more likely than not just sword-fighting instead of using Magic, which makes for some epic fight maneuvers. I mean seriously, did you guys see her jump up and kick Azuma when she was surrounded? Beautiful.
And perhaps the best thing about this battle is that it wasn't a battle that needed to be won by strength, but by mental fortitude. Neinhart's abilities, though completely fucking awesome, seemed hax in a lot of ways, so it's nice that his Magic has an Achilles' heel so to speak. And the moment when Erza "found" that flaw was incredible. I mean honestly, have you ever seen anyone look so. damn. EPIC?! I got chills, XD. And you know who else, surprisingly, gave me chills as well? Jellal Fucking Fernandes!!! If looks could kill, Neinhart would be six feet under. :D
All in all, this was a pretty good chapter, and I'm really looking forward to the next one. We might actually get to see Jellal kick ass and take names. And even more interesting than that, imo, is the fact that Neinhart seems to know something about Erza's origins. Something to do with some chick called Lady Eileen. Really hope Mashima comes through with something really interesting and unexpected here. ^__^
