Isn't it just like Mashima to follow up a god awful chapter with a great one? ^____^ Since I'm late as hell, I'm just going to do my rants and raves this time around.
Rants and Raves
- Juvia almost getting cut down by fodder. Ummm... what the flying fuck happened to Juvia's Water Body? ( .___.) Seriously. Mashima hasn't had her make good use of it since the Phantom Lord arc. We've seen this same thing happen in a gillion different manga. A character is introduced using an ability that's kinda-sorta OP and if that character becomes more prominent, that same ability seems to mysteriously disappear. Nothing quite irritates me more. Although I suppose the surprise attack was good because it was the catalyst for...
- Meredy's return!!!! OMG!!!!!! It's been FOREVER since Crime Sorcière has been seen. Glad they are FINALLY showing up to the party. And I'm also glad to see Meredy fighting again. Don't think we've seen her do much of anything since the Tenrou Island arc. ^___^ And I am literally laughing my ass off at Lyon taking interest in her. They've been a random ass crack ship for literally ages. I guess this goes to show that even the crackiest of crack shippers should keep their hopes up! XD
- Erza and Kagura SLAY!!! It was really nice to see those two working together. The only thing better than two badasses kicking ass, however, is THREE! JELLAL HAS FUCKING RETURNED BITCHES!!! XD OMG! And as Mega mentioned to me earlier, I really like Kagura's reaction to Jellal. It'd be weird if his presence didn't unnerve her. You know, considering how wanting to see him dead was her sole reason for being for many years.
- Dimaria. Sucks. Ass! I mean, just when I thought she could get no worse, she had to have the most trite, cliched, OP power in all of the universe. (A Magic which doesn't fit her moniker as a "War Maiden" at all.) The power to stop time has been a staple in many manga over the years and I haven't liked it in any of them. It's far too OP a power in my book. And to counter this OPness, the character using it always has some kind of personality flaw. Dimaria's being her arrogance. Instead of finishing off her opponents in a split second like any true War Maiden would, she likes to play games. Although, to be fair, her sheer ignorance and desire to prolong her battles is what provided the perfect entrance for...
- ULFUCKINGTEAR!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! I am SO glad to see her!! I know it may make her sacrifice seem meaningless in many people's eyes, but I honestly couldn't give two fucks. I'm just glad to see her alive (and young and sexy) again!! I hope Ultear kicks Dimaria's ass. :D
