Okay, so for some reason Mangapanda didn't release their chapter today and I had to wait for Stream's, so I don't have time to make my review right - I'll do so when I get home in a couple of hours. Feel free to discuss amongst yourselves though. :P I will say this for now though - this chapter was EPIC!!!!!
Alright, now that I'm home, I can properly review this chapter. As previous mentioned, I LOVED this chapter. There were some iffy moments (like REALLY iffy moments), but overall the good outweighed the bad. First things first, Kagura looked BEASTLY on the cover. I've missed her so much and I'm LOVING the new outfit. :3
Now to delve into the chapter. We start off with Mavis and the others in the guild discussing the recent happenings, and I've gotta say, I'm incredibly disappointed in Mavis. You really intended to fight the entirety of the Spriggan Empire solo? I can understand not wanting to get everyone else involved with Fairy Tail's mess, but the Spriggans basically declared war not only on Fairy Tail, but on ALL of Ishgar. To not use potential allies in a war (especially a war this difficult) is kinda ludicrous. But Mavis is adorable so I forgive her. :3 And I guess Laxus vs. Wahl is a given now. Awesome! :3 I just hope the reason Laxus overcomes Wahl's imperviousness to electricity isn't Nakama Power. ( .___.)
The next part of the chapter was probably the worst part of it. Macao and Wakaba are perverts, yes, that much has always been clear. But their whole scene with Brandish wasn't funny perverted, it was just creepy and left a pretty bad taste in my mouth to be honest. Just going to pretend like I never read it. ( .___.) On a more positive note, however, it looks like Brandish may have allowed herself to be captured on purpose (maybe) and Marin is now up and moving and planning on infiltrating. I say maybe because I may have completely misinterpreted. :P
Elsewhere on Zeref's ship, Invel relays the message that Ajeel and Brandish have been taken down. And as it turns out Ajeel is Yajeel's grandson. So that explains the names. ^____^ The best part of the whole ship scene was Zeref's observation about Fairy Tail. They don't kill and it could very well cost them the war. They captured Brandish and defeated Ajeel and instead of killing them like any intelligent person would do, they're keeping them alive. What if the Alvarez Empire has healers who revive Ajeel? What if Brandish somehow manages to get loose? I understand Fairy Tail has morals, but morals have no place in war. :P Oh yeah, and IN YOUR FACE to whoever tried to argue with me that Fairy Tail Mages had no issues with killing.
Perhaps the best part of the chapter was everyone mobilizing. Sabertooth and Blue Pegasus head to the north and MIRAJANE, GAJEEL, LEVY, PANTHER LILY and some others I don't give a shit about head out to give them assistance. And my Mira is wearing a new dress!!! It's been forever since Mashima has given her one and it looks badass. ^__^ Well, not badass, but she looks like a sexy salsa dancer XD. Lisanna also has a new outfit, but she's Lisanna so I gives no fucks. :D Gray, Juvia, Wendy, and Laxus go to the south to back up Kagura and Lamia Scale. AND ERZA DECIDES TO GO WITH THEM! Biggest bad ass in Fairy Tail. Love her! :3 With the South and North covered, that just leaves the East and the West. Mavis, Makarov and the others plan on dealing with the West since Zeref is there and THE GODS OF ISHGAR!!!! and Jura TAKE ON THE SPRIGGANS FROM THE WEST!!!! OMG MOST BADASS MOMENT FROM THE CHAPTER BY FAR!!!!
I'm so happy. Literally nothing could ruin this momen- Oh wait, I forgot about Natsu. (-____-) Just when I thought about giving him props for getting more mature, this dumbass heads straight for Zeref's ship. Really? REALLY NATSU?! SMDH.
