Chapter Cover
The chapter cover was great! Erza is as sexy as always. :D Although part of me legitimately wanted to read the Sorcerer Magazine Interview, lol. :D
Summary
Ajeel Lamur faces off against Erza Scarlet. Elsewhere, Wahl Icht arrives in Magnolia Town and puts a hole in Freed Justine's Jutsu Shiki. Brandish μ also arrives and bathes in Lucy Heartfilia's tub. In the guild, Mavis Vermilion, Makarov Dreyar, Warren Rocko, and the others all realize that the Spriggans as well as their armies are all headed towards Fairy Tail.
Review
This was a pretty good chapter imo. It starts off with Erza facing off against Ajeel, and so far I'm really impressed with the fight. Some of you whores were complaining that you think that Erza will use her typical flame pants defying of logic to defeat Ajeel, and I don't think that's the case. Firstly, Ajeel's strength as one of the Spriggans was reinforced this chapter, and I don't think Mashima is going to tank that hype by having him being defeated solo. Secondly, his battle with Natsu was hinted pretty heavily so the way I see it - his battle with Erza is going to be interrupted somehow and at some point, him and Natsu (along with some others like Gajeel and Wendy, of course) are going to fight. As far as his current battle with Erza goes, I am interested in seeing how she's going to escape from his sands (which seem to be having a weird effect on her Requip). Things are getting interesting. :D
Ajeel's Squad was introduced this chapter as well, and like their leader, they all have a Middle Eastern vibe as well. Cool. I'm interested to see what they can do. :D Elsewhere, Lucy encounters Brandish who is bathing in her tube... eew. ( .____.) That scene was freaking hilarious, but the thought of actually bathing in some stranger's tube is horrifyingly disgusting. So. Many. GERMS!!!!
But, I digress. :/ The thing in this chapter that I think deserves the most discussion is the fact that pretty much all of the Spriggans are heading towards Fairy Tail... from every direction. O___O I'm curious to see how Mashima is going to play this. It's far too early for the Spriggans to be fighting yet, and I don't see an all out war with Fairy Tail happening just yet. This chapter did solidify one thing in my mind though - there's no way Fairy Tail is handling this war alone. We're definitely going to see lots of outside assistance imo.
Overall, this was a pretty good chapter. I don't really like that all of the Spriggans have appeared so suddenly, but as previously mentioned, I don't really think any decisive battles will happen just yet, so I'm going to wait and see how Mashima plays this before passing any judgement. As for now, I'll just sit back and see what happens next. :D
