Lots and lots of pages to review this week. ( ._.) The color pages at the beginning were OK. Not Mashima's best work, but it's nice to have some again. :D
The chapter begins with the Magic Council having a meeting about Fairy Tail. How nostalgic. :D AND DORANBOLT IS THERE!!!! \(^___^)/ Guran Doma, who we haven't seen since his one page introduction, tells everyone to be quiet and that Tartarus is the topic of discussion for the day. Someone's been wiping out guilds associated with Tartarus, and the Magic Council is trying to figure out who. They even think Crime Sorciere and Fairy Tail are responsible. Org, however, hits the nail on the head about the real perpetrators, and everyone laughs at him. Poor Org. :( Guran Doma thinks his theory is plausible though. Just as Guran Doma makes this big deceleration about how they are going to take a stand, the Council is overrun by an intruders. None other than.... Tartarus. :D Doranbolt is the only one who survives. Why? Because Mashima knows I would've murdered him if he killed Doranbolt. ಠ◡ಠ Oh yeah, Org survives too, but some Cat Guy named Jackal comes to finish him off. Is the Magic Council composed of nothing but weaklings? I mean, I knew they were just the lawmakers, but you'd think they'd have some sort of strength to back it up...
Elsewhere, it's a normal day at Fairy Tail. Mira-swannnnnnn is serving alcohol to all the drunks, Elfman is being Elfman, Bisca and Alzack are boring the hell out of everyone, etc. etc. Erza and Makarov discuss Minerva's venture to the Dark Side and how Sting is Sabertooth's acting Master... nothing too terribly interesting there. Juvia baked Gray some "Gray Bread" and "Juvia Bread" which was adorable in my expert opinion. :3 LMAO @ the Elfman "eating Juvia out" comment. :D Gray finally decided to be a little less of a douche and tries one of Juvia's breads, but ends up eating his own. :/ Meh, at least he tried. Meanwhile, Natsu, Levy and the others are trying to figure out what E.N.D. is. They believe that E.N.D. is a Demon and that it's summoned by one of Zeref's books. While they are discussing this, Jet comes bursting in with bad news....
Elsewhere, Doranbolt tries to get Cobra to reveal what he knows about Tartarus, but Cobra won't talk unless him and his comrades are freed. Doranbolt gets testy and puts a knife to his throat to try to get him to talk. Awesome! :D But Cobra still won't budge. But he does agree to tell him one thing....
Meanwhile, the Nine Ghost Gates meet up. Kyouka and Silver share some small banter, and Kyouka comments that Silver showed up in his "human" form. So Silver's not human? And apparently neither are Kyouka and Jackal or any of the Nine Ghost Gates for that matter. Interesting. Very interesting. And just when I thought things couldn't get anymore interesting - it turns out that they are all Demons from the book of Zeref and that E.N.D is their master. Awesome!!!! :D I really cannot wait for this arc. It's going to be epic! I can feel it. ;)
Overall, this was a pretty good chapter, and it's making me very excited about the coming arc. :)
