Fairy Tail Wiki

Buenos noches mi amigos, and the rest of FT wiki! As you may remember, our good man DM hosted something almost identical to this a couple of months ago. You may now be wondering, Dex you thieving bastard, why are you using DM's Bonanza?! Well, fortunately, DM being the gent he is; has agreed to let me use it basically for click bait, not gonna lie... So much in fact, that he did the polls within the blog for me after we had a head scratching session earlier today. So thanks to him for doing that and letting me use his Bonanza.

Anyway that's beside the point. For the most part.

Like DM's first poll bonanza, this one consists of several polls, and sub poles depending on individual choices regarding your favourite villain, villainous team, and manga arc (no KotSS or Eclipse Celestial Spirit arcs here). Of course, I'll be giving my personal favs and the reason(s) behind them, and I hope you do too in the comments. Within reason of course.

So without any further ado, let's get into this.

Question 1[]

Personal choice: Mard Geer Tartaros

The Underworld King

Look at that sass

From the options, it's a tough choice to make for me between Mard Geer, Zeref and Hades. But Mard Geer just takes it for me because of just how calm and relaxed he always is, even if he was an arrogant bastard. Not only that, he's quite the cunning strategist and tactician, using the book of END as a means to rally the Etherious all together in order to fulfill his plans. Not only that, he's dead, and has so far, stayed dead. There are other reasons, but I'm trying to keep this as short as reasonably possible.

Question 2[]

Personal choice: Spriggan 12

Spriggan 12 silhouettes

Is it me, or do barely any of these silhouettes match their actual appearances?

Again, a close one; which may come as a surprise barring in mind who's in the Spriggan 12. But it's true, t'was close between the 12, the Nine Demon Gates and the Seven Kin of Purgatory. The Shields of Emperor Spriggan won it however because the Seven Kin had Kain Hikaru, which instantly disqualified them from my perspective, and the Demon Gates lost out because of a certain infamous battle... So why did the 12 do better than the rest? Well, the Element 4 had Sol, who I hate, plus Totamaru wasn't much cop nor was Aria as it turned out. Trinity Raven lost out because, well, reasons and Oracion Seis lost because they don't have a Brandish :P

Subquestions[]

Final Question[]

And now to finish the Bonanza off. And we shall do so by asking what is your favourite canonical arc so far in the series?

Personal choice: Tenrou Island Arc

Tenrou Island Banner

The Last Great FT Arc. So Far.

Final question for the Bonanza, and I've gone with Tenrou Island because arguably it was the last really good arc that Mashima pushed out. Even though some of the battles and story development after the Seven Year time skip were topnotch, nothing has really come close to topping Tenrou Island for the level of impact it had on the series since. There were some flaws obviously, but compared with some of the more recent ones, they can be forgiven. Character development was top notch, and it opened up a whole can of worms for us fans to start salivating over.

One More Thing[]

Ok, you might have noticed by now that I've not really been putting my heart and soul into this... Poor choice of words for a ginger I know, but you get the idea. And that's because, the thing I mentioned about click bait earlier comes back to the fore: The main reason for me making this blog is for the following reason (excuse me as I put my academic hat on for this bit);

As some of you may know I'm currently in the process of my second dissertation. Unlike my last one which was entirely field work based, this one requires collecting data from people in order for me to gauge public perceptions regarding online piracy. Of course, it's entirely up to you whether you wish to participate or not. The survey itself will take as little as five minutes.

For those of you that choose to participate, I am obliged to inform you that all data collected is entirely anonymous, data provided is stored in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998, and by submitting your survey you are therefore giving consent to have your results used.

The study is awaiting approval from University College London's Research Ethics Committee, however I have been reassured by the Department of Security and Crime Science that it will be approved. In the unlikely event that it is not approved, all data collected will be destroyed. Once the study has been concluded and the final report submitted, the data will be destroyed by December 2016. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to leave a message on either my talk page here, or my message wall here and we'll try and sort out a time to have a private message session in Chat for signed in users, anonymous users will have to use whichever page they left me a message on, to solve any issues or queries you might have.

Thank you to all those that do choose to participate in it. The survey can be found here. Note, the questionnaire will cease accepting responses on 16th July this year at 23:59 GMT.
