Now that Fairy Tail is about to end with Acnologia's defeated by Nakama Pawa aided by True Lord and Savior Meredy's Sensory Link, and Natsu's 7 Dragon's Iron Fist of Friendship in human and Dragon forms (and Good riddance since Mashima dragged it through the mud for the sake of a Perfect Happy Ending for everyone who's the good guys), I wonder now what happens to the Alvarez Empire since Zeref is gone and the Spriggan 12 are beyond fractured after their members died or defected.

If Real Life history is anything to go by, what's left of the Alvarez Empire is gonna be in for one of these. Without a designated heir for Emperor Spriggan's throne, the best possible scenario will be one hell of a political shitstorm in the country, aggravated further by the cataclysmic number of casualties in the military in a failed campaign against Ishgal. Maybe there will be a consensus pick for a new monarch, or maybe democratic reform. But the worst case scenario? Civil war. The country is ripped apart from the inside by warring factions vying for the throne or for independence, and what's left of the Spriggan Twelve either can't keep order, or joins in, themselves. Either way, without outside help, the Empire is in for a major, country-changing crisis that could very well lead to its undoing, and its citizens will suffer for it.
Wow, just wow. NICE JOB, BREAKING IT HEROES! While you just saved the world from Acnologia and Zeref, you have plunged it to deeper chaos and anarchy of a neighboring continent while you go celebrating like you don't give a damn at all. So much for a Perfect Happy E.N.D.ing huh?
