![]() Hey peoples. Wrath is drunk and high out of his mind per usual so he won't be doing any articles this month. Instead, I'll do this for him.
![]() Alright so let's break this down. The first thing I wanted to talk about is Brandish's statement on August. "August is the month of fear". The big question I am left with after reading this is what came first, August the man or August the month of fear. To put it more simply, was August named August because of how frightening he is or was August so powerful and frightening that they declared the month of his namesake to be the month of fear? I think its more interesting if it is the latter but Mashima didnt really specify. But here is my problem now. August continues to be hyped up to insane levels but so far, at least to me, all of the spriggans were a major disappointment aside from Ajeel and maybe Brandish. They were all said to be stronger than any member of FT but they all got their asses handed to them by single people. I greatly fear August is going to be taken down in one hit from Gildarts just like all the others, but we will have to see how it goes. So next up is Cana and Mavis and I have to say I really enjoyed this scene. Cana's reaction is what it should be. The guild has formed an attachment to Mavis. She is their friend and now she is asking Cana to kill her in a chance that her actual body will be fine. Cana's refusal is the reaction that I would expect of anyone in this situation and it was matched by Mavis' determination. I am truly wondering what Mavis' plan is but knowing Mashima, it will be 100 chapters before we even get a hint. Moving on, we have the scene in the north. I LOVED this scene. Just the artwork and the imagery of everyone on crosses after being defeated by Bradman. Even Minerva, the strongest person there was taken out. But this again presents the problem of an impossibly strong opponent who will more than likely be taken out in one hit. I am not even joking at this point. The fights are all being reduced to a simple formula now. Good guy fights bad guy for a few pages, good guy counters bad guys move, bad guy powers up, good guy gets deus ex machina power up to beat the bad guy in one hit. Mashima cares much more for advancing the story at this point than creating good, well thought out fights. He doesn't seem to care about the bullshit anymore. Anyway, final part of the chapter now. I liked the Mashima troll here. Everyone thought Simon would be Neinheart and for an instant we were led to believe it was true. But of course, the real Neinhart was far more disappointing. His silhouette made him look like an android or something but instead we get Freed in rose covered armor. Such a let down. Thats all I have for this chapter. Lets move on. ![]() Ok so the first thing I want to talk about here is Kagura and her reaction to seeing Simon. I see a lot of people complaining that she needs to just get over it already and stop hating Jellal and bla bla bla. Here's the thing though. Her brother was killed by a man she is now having to work with. While she is on her way to moving on now, she finds her brother standing right before her, and now the same man that supposedly killed her brother is now stopping her from running to what she believes is her resurrected brother. How the hell would you react in that situation? Any normal person would act as Kagura did, get angry with Jellal. Its not a lack of character development, this is the reaction that should be expected. Now we get to see what exactly Neinhart's magic does and its amusing that Erza is already in flame pants as Neinhart summons the three opponents she used them against. However, I don't like the choice of Azuma here. I guess thats the only other opponent Erza fought that has died but Azuma wasn't a significant battle for Erza. Ikaruga was the first opponent that ever pushed her to such limits that she needed to use the flame pants. She couldn't win with her requipping against Ikaruga and needed to focus all of her power on offense. Kyoka was the most dangerous opponent she ever faced. If Kyouka didnt enjoy torturing her so much, she could have killed Erza easy. Azuma was just.... an opponent. I don't think he should be here but someone can correct me if they feel their fight had great importance to Erza. I also didn't like the fight spreading to the rest of the area. There is no reason to include all the others in this fight. Let Erza conquer her demons. Overall, this chapter was a bit of a let down to me. I felt so much of it was unnecessary. But it was all made up for with the end because Jegura is the best couple ever.
![]() So this was basically a nothing chapter. Im not going to waste much time on it but I had wanted character development from everyone fighting their Historias but it seems we aren't going to get that. The chapter was basically Erza gets her ass handed to her by Kyouka again and then epic stare and they are gone. I guess thats somewhat what I expected but it still feels underwhelming. Erza being stripped again is always nice but again, lack of content to this chapter. The only interesting thing to me here is Jellal getting angry they touched one of his women. Harem master getting angry. I don't really care about whoever this Irene person is though. Im sure its Erza's mom which will just be cliche.
![]() Okay so here we get everyone beating their Historia's with each getting next to no character development from it. What is the point of bringing back everyone's greatest foes if they don't learn and grow from it? I am not sure what Mashima was trying to accomplish here. It seems only Gray got any kind of development and it was very very minor. Pretty disappointing and to top it off, Neinhart got one shot.... I guess I should have expected that. But really, why are all the spriggans so weak? I don't get it. The only good thing to come out of here is Kagura striking down Simon. She is finally getting some good character development and Im happy. Then we get to meet Irene, who is said to be on August's level. She looks a bit like Erza so they are probably related. Honestly, I just don't care. This arc is pretty ruined for me. At this point Im almost positive Gildarts will return to one shot August. Pretty dumb. THats it for this month peeps. I know you are all jumping out of your seats to comment now.
Ultraprime2 saw the dead "Jakuho's Corner" last month and decided to take it over. He hopes you guys have fun while reading this month's issue of the magazine. ![]()
![]() <poem> Fairy Tail Wiki: Tell us a little about yourself. WonderfulUnicorn: Well, in short, as one of the five, or six (I don't even know) rollbacks on the wiki, I regard myself as one of the site's main editors (although I've gone kind of inactive over the past few weeks ^_^") as of today. Personality-wise, I am a calm dude who tries to get along with everyone on the wiki, be it an admin or an anonymous contributor. Other than that there is not much more to be said; I am a Wonderful Unicorn! (Yes, the letters are supposed to be capitalized. Wonderful Unicorn is an important term in the English language. Seriously, look it up.) Fairy Tail Wiki: Where does your username come from? WonderfulUnicorn: Now, the answer to this is neither as complex nor as interesting as one might think. So, in middle school, me and a few friends created this blog where we pondered on life and its various aspects. Anyway, it was all kind of an internal joke, and because we thought that we sounded a bit, well, "gay" in our posts, we based our name around that concept; thus, we landed on "WonderfulUnicorn". When I created a Wikia-account several years back, it was simply the first thing that popped into my head... and that's basically the gist of it, I guess. Fairy Tail Wiki: How did you first discover the Fairy Tail Wiki? WonderfulUnicorn: I had been editing over on the One Piece Wiki for quite some time when I happened upon this wiki. I think it was actually Choko (you guys should know him) who encouraged me to join here - he made this wiki seem very civilized and overall appealing, in contrast to the OP Wiki at that current time. Fairy Tail Wiki: What tips would you give new users on the wiki? WonderfulUnicorn: First of all, I would advise every fresh user to read the wiki's policies. Doing this will make it a lot easier to adapt to the wiki's system and get along with the other users. Second, if there is something you are unable to understand or something that you are unsure about, for RealGodisme's sake (I'm not even sorry) ask. Experienced users will almost certainly be able to help you out, and they will most likely be happy to do so as well. Third and final, be sure to have fun! I mean, what's the purpose of editing on here if you don't think it is a fun process? (that's the main reason why I left the OP Wiki for good) If you try your best and edit in good faith, you cannot go wrong. Of course you will make mistakes once in a while, but how else would you learn? Everyone makes mistakes, after all. I know for a fact that I have made quite a few mistakes in my time here, and look at how far I got! Okay, bad example, I get it, I get it... Moving swiftly on~ Fairy Tail Wiki: How does it feel editing on Fairy Tail Wiki compared to One Piece Wiki? WonderfulUnicorn: I don't really want to comment too much on this, and there are two main reasons why. Firstly, although I personally have had several bad experiences with the OP Wiki, I am sure that there are many users over there who have had good experiences. In that sense, my personal opinion doesn't necessarily equate to the "truth" about the nature of that wiki. Secondly, I am fairly certain that the OP wiki has changed a lot since my days and that it is not the same as what it once was. With that said, I feel like editing on the Fairy Tail Wiki is much more of a relaxed process compared to the OP Wiki. The community here is just kinder and more helpful overall; there is less vandalism, less spam, less spoilers and not to mention less verbal conflicts and unhealthy relationships here. I am not in any way saying that the Fairy Tail Wiki is without its flaws; to me, it simply has a higher standard than what the OP Wiki has (or had in the past). Fairy Tail Wiki: What are your thoughts on Fairy Tail? WonderfulUnicorn: The whole series has been a roller-coaster for me. Some arcs have been fantastic (Tower of Heaven arc, for instance), while others have been absolutely dreadful (not providing any specific arcs for this one). Recently, the manga has been very disappointing and there have been times where I wanted to quit the entire series altogether. It seems Hiro has grown tired of the series and that he is just pulling things out of his ass at this point. However, I have stuck with it thus far and I'm not abandoning it now - so here's to hoping that it will pick itself up near the climax! Fairy Tail Wiki: What are your favorite anime and manga? WonderfulUnicorn: Overall, it's incredibly difficult for me to decide on a favorite anime, as there is just so many wonderful ones to pick amongst. It all comes down to the time of day, really. To mention some: The Hunter X Hunter 2011 adaptation was fantastic; Kuroko no Basuke is my favorite sports anime of all time (no doubt); Code Geass and Death Note are incredible series plot-wise (and altogether of course); Fate/zero's art is gorgeous; Baccano! is the best short anime I've ever watched (and I seriously recommend it); Gintama is the funniest series I've watched; Cowboy Bebop and Dragon Ball (Z) are classics that I'll never forget; oh, and Fullmetal Alchemist is an amazing series as well. So yeah... quite a lot of series, in the end. When it comes to my favorite manga, it's much, much easier to pick a favorite. I honestly hope I won't receive any hate for this, but my favorite manga series of all time is One Piece, motherf*cking One Piece. It's definitely the best of the "Big 3". Fairy Tail Wiki: What is the funniest thing you have witnessed or taken part in during your time on Wikia? WonderfulUnicorn: I've both witnessed and taken part in a lot of hilarious things on Wikia in my time. Most instances involve either Staw-Hat Luffy (the troll of OP Wiki) or Fintin (some of you might recognize him from over here), or both. I honestly can't pick a favorite moment, so you guys might as well go over to the OP Wiki and check out the "Chat of Shame" page. Seriously, some of those are just very, very funny. Fairy Tail Wiki: How's your wiki love life? Anything you think we ought to know? WonderfulUnicorn: Nah m8, I always keep the cards close to my chest regarding these sorts of things. I seriously think Umy is into me though, that creep. >_> Fairy Tail Wiki: That's the end of this interview. Thanks for joining us! Any final words as we depart? WonderfulUnicorn: I've never been good with these kind of things, honestly.. ( ._.) I guess, enjoy the rest of the Magazine? No? Good luck with your exams? Seriously, I've no idea what to say. And yes, I do know where the "Log Out" button is, don't stress it. Well, 4/20 BlazeIt, I'm outta here. Stay safe fam!
