Territory (絶対領土, テリトリー, Teritorī) is a Caster Magic that involves the manipulation of space.[1] It has also been referred to as one of the Magics of the Yakuma Eighteen War Gods by Mavis Vermilion,[2] which are eighteen types of dangerous Magics handed down through the Yakuma clan.
Description
The user is able to conjure a kind of wave-like matter that resembles a tomoe, which allows them to manipulate the space around any object or substance of their choice,[1] allowing for great versatility. One can manipulate space as means of defense,[3] offense, by means of forming heat[4] and generating explosions[1], teleporting people and/or objects of their choice,[5] and granting the user the ability to switch places with other people who are in close proximity.[6] However, the greatest potential that this Magic offers lies in its trapping and damaging capacities; the caster has the option to imprison any living being of their choice inside their "space"[7], and if the caster desires so, can sap their Magic Power away.[8] In addition, the Magic can be used to summon a god-like entity that can cause a wide scale of destruction.[9]
This Magic is unusual in the sense that its spells as well as their incantations are uttered in the language of Yakuma,[7] which has been described as "ominous."[10] Furthermore, on occasion a variety of hand signs are utilized before casting this Magic.[7]
