It doesn't matter if his eyes are shown or not, this picture should replace the current one. Does anyone have anything better? -WhiteArmor-(Talk)- 15:47, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

I was wondering, where did people get the name "Shitou" from? Is there any specific chapter or episode it was mentioned in? Immblueversion 14:37, September 26, 2011 (UTC)

Considering it's been so long, I feel I should elaborate. My guess is that the name "Shitou" originally came from a fan translation of chapter 69, the chapter that introduced him by name. However, the same chapter actually translated Michello's name as "Makalov" and Org as "Ouko", shown here. And as I recall from the raw scan of the chapter shown in Volume 9 (which I can no longer find as of now), his name was written as ヤジマ (Yajima), not シト (Shito, which for some reason was transliterated on this wiki as Shitō as if it were spelled シトウ; a misspelling, perhaps). So I have to wonder, was his name originally シト, or even シトウ, when the chapter was first published in the Weekly Shōnen Magazine, only to be changed to ヤジマ for the collected volume? Or was his full name included in one of those extra volume sections as a piece of trivia? Considering how just about every website with user-added content calls him Shitou Yajima now--heck, even the Funimation English dub cast list shows his name as "Shitou" without ever once calling him by that name in English or even Japanese--I guess we'll never know the truth. Unless the official manga translations call him that too... Immblueversion 05:51, June 19, 2012 (UTC)
Sorry about that. It's not that we ignore the posts, it's just that if one of the administration isn't online when you post it then we won't see it unless we happen upon it one day. If no one has replied to your post in 2 days time then generally no one has seen it being posted and it's best to leave a message on my talk page alerting me to it. And once again, I'll have our translator take a look at this discussion for you. Thanks for your patience.   Rai  Talk     05:56,6/19/2012

I have been wondering about this for a while as well, but never really go research on where Shitou came from. It seems to be a mistranslation by the older groups. In short, Shitou never existed. ChaosKnight 06:20, June 19, 2012 (UTC)

You're telling me this fellow is merely "Yajima"?

Sounds strange. Had gotten accustomed to his former, longer name... Though after Mirajane, Elfman and Lisanna Strauss, few things can surprise me.

Well, his name card during the Grand Magic Games reads simply "Yazima". (Of course, since the manga translation's yet to go that far, I doubt we'll be changing that). But I guess it's official: "Shitou Yajima" is his unofficial official name. Congratulations: this wiki is the Word of Dante. Immblueversion 14:30, June 19, 2012 (UTC)
Please tell me you guys are just playing a really cruel joke. -_-   Rai  Talk     14:46,6/19/2012
