Name

Mangapanda listed his name as Tempesta. As well, in Chapter 356, we were told "Tempesta" was out on a mission and we have seen the 8 other members of the 9 demon gates-- God · Pray · 17:42,10/31/2013 

Magic

Multiple Lives

I was reading the Japanese raw version, and I was thinking that "Tempest Curse" isn't his real curse, but a part of a more general curse. So I'm thinking of renaming it into something that has to do with nature or weather (he is nicknamed "Calamity", after all). Any suggestions to a name before Mashima reveals his curse's official name? Suggestions I have:

• Weather Curse
• Calamity Curse
• Nature Curse
• *Insert your suggestion here* Curse

On a side note, the way that Tempesta uses his curse is through the sound of the said element (ヒュウ, which is equivalent to whoosh, for wind, ボッ, equivalent to poof, for fire, and ゴロロン, equivalent to rumble, for lightning). ChaosKnight 18:40, June 13, 2014 (UTC)

I agree with Calamity Curse and Nick's naming suggestions. Those SFX names should just go with simple names such as: tornado, hurricane, firestorm, cyclone, etc. Those names fit the spell's appearance ..: Mamerge @ 14:55, June 15, 2014 (UTC) :..

Name & Epithet

My version of the manga brings his name as "Tempester" and his epithet as "Death Denier" instead of "Immortal". Personally, I don't think changing his name would make a difference, but I think "Death Denier" is way cooler than simply "Immortal". Herme 02:52,7/7/2014

Underwater Breath

I think we should remove that he has the ability to breath underwater as that is pure speculation. All we've seen is him sitting down in Tenchi Kaimei. For all we know he is just holding for breath, or he is creating air inside his mouth with his calamity curse or whatever, it doesn't matter. Before everybody starts raging that this is just filler material, just hear me out. Mashima is known to be quite involved with the anime. And he doesn't mind them killing Tempester off. Currently, we have Tempester's status as unknown because we are not sure that a Devil Slayer, who has an extremely deep grudge against Tartaros, cutting Tempester open and encasing him in Devil Slayer ice is enough of a reason to brand him dead. But, in light of the new episode, it is obvious that Mashima considers him dead, otherwise the anime team would never get permission to off him. Unrelated note, just after rewatching Episode 246 and off my reasoning for this vote I think we should also consider Azuma being Inactive instead of Unknown since there's really nothing unknown about him, he turned into a tree and he's more inactive to me, similar to Seilah's case... Dead or Alive?

Should we really be saying that he is dead? I mean shouldn't this follow the manga and not the anime? --Primarch11 14:30, October 31, 2015 (UTC)

He was slashed open by a sword made of Devil Slaying ice, then encased in Devil Slaying ice in the manga. The only reason his status was unknown is because we are a bit too cautious and wait until confirmation that the character is considered dead.
