Satan Soul.[]

Shouldn't a seperate page be made for Satan Soul?Zicoihno (Talk to Me) 04:45, February 23, 2011 (UTC)

No, It is a form of take over like the others mentioned on the page and it would be useless to create an entire page for one technique, especially when it already fits nicely onto the page it's already on. --Iam...JakuhoRaikoben 06:08, February 23, 2011 (UTC)

Kinana[]

Should we add her to the users list as she's learning Take Over magic or shall we wait for her to display some form of it? I'm happy with either. Will 13:52, June 22, 2011 (UTC)

Not at the moment, we'll add her when she displays some form of it.  Iam...JakuhoRaikoben  14:21,6/22/2011

Beast Soul[]

Is Beast Soul the name of the spell or the name of the form of take over. I thought it was a form like anima soul, satan soul. And I thought the name of that spell was Beast Soul: Full-Body Take Over. RelikzRelikz Talk 12:42, July 10, 2011 (UTC)

I was under the impression that Beast Soul was the name of the form of Take Over as well.  Iam...JakuhoRaikoben  17:04,7/13/2011

Can I change it? RelikzRelikz Talk 17:07, July 13, 2011 (UTC)

Yes.  Iam...JakuhoRaikoben  17:08,7/13/2011

References[]

Does anyone know in which chapter Take Over was described as a Magic allowing users to take over the appearance and powers of creatures they really know? And since we're at it, does anybody know if and were the Take Over Siblings were first referred to as such?

Another unknown Beast Soul Takeover[]

So I was browsing through the earlier chapters and I noticed this Take Over. Mayhaps you guys missed it O.o? Cerez365Fairy Tail symbol(talk) 01:22, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

You're right, I think it is an unnamed for of Take Over. I think mayhaps we did, XD Jakuho My Contributions Talk ph 01:29,4/18/2012
Aye. It looks so cool too~ --Cerez365Fairy Tail symbol(talk) 01:42, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

Halphas[]

Before writing that, I need to point out that Elfman clearly said "That's not Satan Soul", since it was under Mary's control. Herme 04:59,7/7/2012

Oh and he said "Majin Halphas", what means "Demon Halphas", so that's the correct name. Herme 05:01,7/7/2012

I guess we can change it to Demon Halphas but that sounds so....weird.   Rai  Talk     05:04,7/7/2012

Satan Soul spells[]

I added the following to Mirajanes section, but both times it was deleted:

"Mirajane's Satan Soul is also the only known Take Over which has been shown to utilise other spells while in a transformed state. It is unknown if it is due to this transformed state, or due to Mirajane's own prowess, though she has never been shown to use those spells in her normal human form. However once when Satan Soul was 'stolen' from her (in an anime-only episode), the thief was able to use all the spells Mirajane was capable of in that form."

If the above wasn't the case, then Mirajane wouldn't have to transform to use those crazy poweful spells, and simply thrashed everyone as a human. Can it really be considered speculation if the evidence doesn't indicate otherwise? I also believe that the ability to use other spells in a transformed state is a clear indication to how it is superior to Animal and Beast Soul. Otherwise, Elfman and Lisanna would have been capable of the same feat, right?

(Shadoguardian 15:18, July 7, 2012 (UTC))

Firstly, who is to say that she doesn't transform to provide her more of an advantage when using those crazy spells? Having enhanced speed and the ability to fly allows you to outmaneuver your opponent and provides a greater chance for your spell to hit. It's speculation and it's not allowed on our articles. Secondly, it was out of universe. Which is something that is also not allowed on our articles. Lastly, even if she does have to transform to use those spells, it's not something that needs to be on this page because it is not necessary. Every other description just gives a brief overview.   Rai  Talk     15:24,7/7/2012

Halphas Canon[]

Is it true that Satan Soul: Halphas may be canon? I remember reading that Mashima had the guidelines or idea for the Key to the Starry Sky( or something like that) Arc. Also he did sketch the design for Halphas on his twitter and the Anime-Only tag for Halphas seemed to be removed on the Halphas pic on this page. --HyuugaDevoter5765Talk 01:04, August 7, 2012 (UTC)

No. Halphas is completely anime only. Hiro did the designs for pretty much everything in this filler arc. I removed the tag only because it's not a tag we use on the site or at least we aren't supposed to. :P To be honest though, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw this Take Over in the manga one day.   Rai  Talk     01:07,8/7/2012

Beast Soul:Belcusas[]

Don't really know why it was deleted but, Elfman used it in the latest episode. The translator was wrong so it came as Beast Arm:Bear Arm which made no bloody sense since it was obviously Belcusas and Elfman said "Berukūsesu" and Beast Arm:Bear Arm isn't in the anime right?. Fantasia Snake[]

While rewatching the Fantasia episode, I noticed that Mirajane turned into a snake. Now, could this be considered a Take Over? or is it simply another form of transformation magic?--98.24.107.67 03:53, October 29, 2012 (UTC)

Animal Soul or Beast Soul?[]

Can someone please explain to me the differences between Animal and Beast Soul? I understand that Beast Soul is Elfman's monster Take Over magic, but couldn't they also fall under Lisanna's Animal Soul (providing for non-sentient monsters)? Also, if Beast Soul is just for monsters, why does Elfman have a Beast_Soul:_Bear arm? Animaniac0024 (talk) 06:45, October 2, 2016 (UTC)

Prior to that backstory flashback it was easy: If it was a supernatural being that's not a Demon, it fell under "beast". If it was a normal animal, then it was up Lisanna's alley.

But then the bear and giraffe happened... I think it's best to just chalk it down to comedic effect that should be ignored.

Though there is one possible difference. Lisanna's grave-stone read "friend of animals" or somesuch, which strongly suggests that her way of aquiring Take-Over Souls is different from Satan Soul or Beast Soul. The latter two absorb and basically kill a suitable being... you'd hardly call that friendship. Thus it would seem that Lisanna does something different, even though we have no idea what. Maybe it's something akin to a Celestial Spirit Mage's contracts or she just copies animal abilities and features instead of absorbing the animal.

At the end of the day though, we can only speculate :/ NoNickNeeded (talk) 07:28, October 2, 2016 (UTC)

Devil Soul[]

I am probably annoying to say this, but I really think "Devil Soul" should be added to this page. I am not even asking to create a page on it, but just a mention of it. Although it appears neither in the manga or anime, and undoubtedly has low importance and priority, it still exists in the Fairy Tail universe. We can create a separate section like "Video game only" Moreover, there video game only skills section for pages like Animal Soul [1], so it seems inconsistent that "Devil Soul" is not included with the other soul skills. 21624395uwa (talk) 01:42, September 1, 2019 (UTC)

It's now been added. LightningGeistRead about Laxus? 02:24, September 1, 2019 (UTC)

Those are video game-only spells of Animal Soul, other applications of the Magic but only in the games, while this is a whole other form of Magic (yes they're all Take Over but I'd like to differentiate between them in these cases). In essence your idea is valid, add a Video Game-Only Styles section on Take Over and list it there, although at that point I would argue that shouldn't it get a page on its own? but then remember that this is the first instance of us having a "Video Game-Only Magic", and all the "logistics" that would follow, like how each spell will have to follow suit, and as you said, "priorities".

It ultimately seems unnecessary but then not doing it kinda deducts a few points from our consistency score :P I always just unconsciously thought of Video Games as a middle ground? Where they are of lower importance than the anime and manga (because, duh) but somehow above the Spin-offs, since they get their own character and spell pages, so if you're just going blindly by "wiki customs", then it would be a done deal I guess, then bring that mentality over and you'd have guilds, teams and so on and so forth (I can only speculate if the games go in this depth in the first place), thus giving VGs a status, technically similar to the Anime&Manga (but inferior to them, like how the anime is below the manga), which is reaaaaally not a good choice since, unlike the other two, we rarely know anything about the games. And that's why the topic has always been a grey area around here, cause no one had the sufficient knowledge/resources to actively tackle the games and actually deduce how they should be formatted. It would be correct to say that we're just running on sporadic user donations of info about the games, or the occasional niche YT video with some content.

Maybe because VG stuff was made way back we things weren't that set in stone? And it would be a waste to delete everything we have now (+50 articles), so we just leave it be bec there's really no way to be truthfully "consistent" with games, so yeah.....I have no conclusion...

At first I was like, isn't that just Satan Soul? Cause the "Devil" part but then apparently it's dead people...another thing is that VG-stuff isn't as fleshed out so we can translate them here.

(PS, I actually started writing before Lightning added it, but no way am I not sharing this piece of literature)

HamodyTartaros' NecromancerAsgail 02:26, September 1, 2019 (UTC)

Just want to add but the video game spells and pages were created a long time ago and was eventually stopped since accurate sources are very limited and this wiki prioritizes on the official sources like the manga and anime since they are officially released in english unlike most of the fairy tail video game.

I talked to miskos about all video game related pages since they were never prioritized and since they were never canon and never connected to the manga or even filler anime that they should be treated like how this wiki treats non canon spinoff information and miskos said it would be a waste to remove the existing video game related pages and if someone wants to make a page for the game as long as its acceptable then its fine but my main concern is no one of us can actually check if such video game info is accurate or real, worst case scenario User:21624395uwa became inactive and other random editors started making multiple pages claiming it's from the video games, we can't check if the info they made was real or not making it the whole video page part of the wiki confusing.

Keep in mind none of the video game characters and stories are officially canon, even if mashima made a story for those video games, he never incorporated it into the official manga and anime and he never made any official claim that it was part of the main story like how he treated fairy tail zero, 100 years quest and the fairy tail movies, just because something has the word fairy tail in it doesnt automatically makes it canon like the light novels and other spin-off series, at best he just made those for the sake of a collaboration with the game company. The video game infos should not be prioritized over the information from the official manga and anime so at best any info being added from the video games should not contradict or change the official & canon information for the sake of consistency and accuracy with the manga and anime. LightningGeistRead about Laxus? 04:13, September 1, 2019 (UTC)

That is precisely why I want this to be over and done with. Although they are not really important, they unfortunately still exists and ignoring it will not help. There should not too much fuss about it as I don't think people would be touching these pages much so there is minimal chances of vandalism. I have the information to fill it up and and from the looks of it, nobody else have it.

After reading the explanation, I would actually vote for the Largo page to be deleted so such discussion would not be needed. Unfortunately somebody created the Largo page for some reason, and I am unable to ignore it unless it is deleted. 21624395uwa (talk) 06:41, September 3, 2019 (UTC)

Yeah overall since were in the process of making the rest of the pages we might as well do so and the finished largo page is proof that it is possible so while we can why not make them besides i think they wont affect the canon infos anyway. The way i see it this whole video game related pages started long ago when video game spells were made and the editors before us just didn't finished or made the rest of the video game related pages which led to its format being inconsistent.
