Sounds good, but like Misk said: not to forget Kagura, Natsu, Gajeel, Laxus, ect... You know what, I'm not sure if this will work right now. If I remember correctly Hiro does make mistake sometimes when he colors some pages. Like Happy's blue and Kagura's Black/Brown. :/ I'm not too sure anymore.<br>{{User:Omega natsu2/Sig5}} 20:56, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

not really. this would only apply to characters that have straight forward different colors in both media like Reedus and Gildarts, but Kagura and Minerva have now settled for black in the manga too. So has Gajeel's and Natsu's eye colors. {{User:Relikz/Sig8}} 21:13, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

So not only Mashima changes the colors around in manga, we even have the third color - anime. xD I guess I see the problem that Mega is pointing out {{User:Miskos3/Sig3}} 21:19, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

Voice actor?

For a while now, seiyuu Yuichi Iguchi (井口祐一), known mainly as the voice of Max Alors, was listed as the voice actor for Reedus Jonah. However, the actor was never credited for the role in any of the anime episodes. I have noticed that in Japanese episodes where actors play more than one role, the actor is only credited with one role, and is usually the more prominent one they have in the series. Due to ill luck, Reedus has never been listed in any episode credits to this day. In episode 5, where Reedus appears but not Max, Yuichi Iguchi does not appear in the credits at all. From this I can infer that Iguchi does not play Reedus, and as such, I have removed his name from the page. If anyone can find a reliable source that Iguchi does indeed play Reedus, then by all means, put it back up.

On a similar note, someone on the Japanese wiki's list of characters, someone has listed one Eiji Sekiguchi (関口英司) as the voice of Reedus. Sekiguchi also plays the characters Droy, Vijeeter, Taurus, Rayule, Sol, Leiji, and Yeager; and he does indeed appear in the credits of episode 5. This does seem likely after comparing the characters' voices (especially Droy's post-timeskip voice), but again, because Reedus is never listed in the credits, this is not for certain. Still, for reference, Reedus has a prominent speaking role in episode 25. Here is the Japanese version uploaded by Funimation on YouTube; he speaks around the 02:45 and 21:05 mark. What do you guys think? Immblueversion (talk) 20:19, November 19, 2012 (UTC)

Hair Color

Since apparently characteristics changes require a discussion for it...

Reedus' hair color is consistently brown in the anime but is almost always pink in the manga colorings; the cover for Volume 6 is debatable to be brown but the colors aren't done like in most of the manga colorings throughout the series. So, change to pink due to manga consistency or stick to brown for anime consistency.

  3. After considering the options, I'm going to have to Oppose Oppose -. Reedus has only appeared in 3 color pages from the Manga, and those are pages that never end up in color when sold in tankobon form. I also feel like the Volume covers take precedence over the splash pages Hiro makes. Having it say pink under his info but displaying nothing but Brown haired pictures would be confusing to the readers. Also, this is a discussion which slightly mirrors the discussion we had over Minerva's hair, when she had purple hair for a splash cover but had black hair in the Anime/ Volume cover. Also, out of curiosity, would saying Strawberry Blonde be a more-so neutral ground?

Far as coloring in animanga goes, I personally say this is closer to "Strawberry Blonde" than Reedus' hair color in the anime but that would just be my personal view on that. As to the issue about which colorings are more valid, I would say anything colored officially by Mashima is valid and we merely use the one which has the most backing, hence why Jellal's eye color is listed as "Brown" rather than "Blue" despite two volume covers using the latter for his eyes. King of Uncool 15:20,11/17/2013
Yeah, but as I said, this is fairly reminiscent of Minerva's hair color discussion
:Umnei:Talk to me! 15:27, November 17, 2013 (UTC)
Umnei, three colors of Reedus in the manga is also three recent colors where he has consistently had pink hair. Yes, they were splash colors but has Reedus generally been a character who would likely appear on the volume covers? No. He only had one appearance on a volume where his hair could be debated to be brown; debated, being that the volume cover itself had colors that aren't generally used in a majority of the colors of the series, as I said already. And this ties back to a previous statement that I made on Jellal's eye colors a few months back, as well. Jellal's eyes, similar to Reedus' hair, has been portrayed several times as one peculiar color (blue and pink respectively) and has only once been shown differently (brown/olive and debatably brown respectively); let me also add that a recent coloring of Jellal has shown him with blue eyes. Mashima evidently shows what colors he favors for his characters and, relating to what Ultra said, the manga usually takes precedence over the anime.
Also, regarding your statement about how readers might be confused if Reedus' hair is credited as pink on articles whereas anime images show otherwise, things like that can be solved with a trivia statement at the bottom of the page, such as right here.

Interesting point of view, but I said what I needed to say regarding this so I still stand by my oppose.

I say his hair color section should say

Pink (Manga)
Brown (Anime)

and his appearance section should have a pic of his pink hair in the manga Relikz TalkUser Talk 20:05, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

We can but there are alot of characters with dual colors for their hair/eyes. If we did it here, we would do it for them as well.
