⚫ | I agree with IamJakuhoRaikoben and I think "the little black thing" is Obra himself and the tall guy was just his puppet and disguise. However, as we need Mashima to write a letter for you guys explaining his ideas step by step, we must wait until this letter arrive. :) Buuuuuuut, can you explain me then, how the hell a "Magic" can possibly have another Magic? ._. The only thing close to it is Celestial Spirits, but I don't think the little black thing is one. So, if you insist that it isn't Obra, then the ONLY thing it could be is Obra's partner, pet or whatever, but definitely NOT his magic. ;D Sorry for bad grammar. 15:03,2/15/2013 |

I thought that it was obvious that it was Obra, and that guy was just a big puppet. I was surprised it was not presented this way in the article already. Sligneris (talk) 15:40, February 15, 2013 (UTC) |

I really thought of that more as a comical element... It's like implementing going into grayscale in magic abilities of characters... Sligneris (talk) 14:19, February 15, 2013 (UTC) |

This is the talk page for the article "Obra".

Obra/Kokuni?
Can we be sure the long-nosed fellow is actually Obra, and that Flare wasn't referring to the Exceed-like being on his shoulder? Which, since we're at it, is confirmed to be called Kokuni? The balloon "Obra" pronounced din't look very clear, it seemed like an onomatopoiea... While I do hope and believe those are the two guys' names, I'm not that sure...
-- Aldarinor Talk Contribs 16:17, February 24, 2012 (UTC)
I think Kokuni was just something "Obra" muttered to deplete Lucy's Magic. But then again i dont know any japanese so i dont know if Kokuni could be any type of name. And although it is unclear, i think Flare was referring to the Hat dude, and not the Exceed creature. I think ChaosKnight will have a better analysis though. talk Garyness 17:48, Febraury 24, 2012 (UTC)
Actually, Obra said "Kokun!" (an exclamation point, not an i) and yes, Flare was referring to the big guy. Who is the one that did the cancellation is unknown as the guy that laughed was the little guy but maybe he is Obra's Magic Relikz Talk (Talk Page) 20:22, February 24, 2012 (UTC)
Well, we know that Magic Power Deficiency is the cause of Wendy's condition, and that she saw the black little thing before blacked out, so I think that the "Black Alien" has the power to absorb or nullify Magic, and that it's Obra's (the big Pinocchio) Magic. Herme20:34,2/24/2012
- Also let's wait for Chaos, "Kokun" might be just an onomatopoiea. Herme20:37,2/24/2012
One more thing: How can you be sure that "He" is a "He"? Herme20:47,2/24/2012
Hey :) I looked up an onomatopoeia chart just now and kokun is apparently an onomatopoeia for swallowing, see here [1]. Even if it was a typo in the manga, you can see on that list that there are others similarly spelt which mean things like nodding and soft coughing (I also checked some other sites that said the same thing). So I do think it is the large man (lol, or woman) who nullified the Magic, and that the little creature is not called Kokuni.
As for your idea Abe, I think it is possible that the creature can nullify the Magic, but the creature may have just grabbed Wendy for Obra, so that he could do it. And I need breakfast...
☆°・*CarrotSays...*・°☆ 21:14, February 24, 2012 (UTC)
- You are right! Obra might have not been referring to the creature as Kokun, but he may have. Maybe the "thing"'s name is "Swallow" or maybe not Relikz Talk (Talk Page) 21:18, February 24, 2012 (UTC)
- Maybe Obra used "his" nose to absorb the Magic, yeah makes sense now with the onomatopoeia explanation. Herme21:27,2/24/2012
- Lol, or maybe that's his Magic! He eats Magic! Relikz Talk (Talk Page) 21:33, February 24, 2012 (UTC)
- So he must be very powerful, eating Magic without making a single move and at a very long distance of the target. I wonder why he didn't help Nullpuding before... Probably he was trusting him. Herme21:44,2/24/2012
- Lol, or maybe that's his Magic! He eats Magic! Relikz Talk (Talk Page) 21:33, February 24, 2012 (UTC)
- Well all of this speculation so... Relikz Talk (Talk Page) 21:50, February 24, 2012 (UTC)
- So go add the Grand Magic Games' Preliminary Event in the list of jobs of FSG. Herme21:55,2/24/2012
Magic
It looks like he absorbes magic more than "canceling" it. In fact he first absorbed the magic from Wendy before the magic tournament, and during the fight between Flare and Lucy he absorbed Lucy's magic power negating her spell. What do you think? --Bogota X 14:09, February 25, 2012 (UTC)
Speculation. No proof Relikz Talk (Talk Page) 18:52, February 25, 2012 (UTC)
Speculations
We don't even know if that little bitch is actually Obra. He could be just be a pet or this guy! Remnant13 Talk 18:20,6/15/2012
Imp companion
Shouldn't we put the little devildude who's with Obra in "magic and abilities"? I put him there once but it was removed --FirePit (talk) 18:54, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
O_O honestly? how do you know? I never saw that and shouldn't we put that as transformation or something? --FirePit (talk) 18:58, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
- XD, re-read the scene where Raven Tail gets arrested and pay close attention to Obra. ✦Rai✦ ✦Talk✦ 18:59,8/5/2012
All I saw is that the little dude umped out of Obra's clothes as usual, how does that mean that the devil IS Obra? --FirePit (talk) 19:02, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
Ah, the smell of speculation. Herme 19:03,8/5/2012
yeah x.x so can we put the little guy somewhere in Obra's page? I realy think he should be mentioned.--FirePit (talk) 19:04, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
Laxus knocked him out o.o a lot of villains are unconcious after they're defeated--FirePit (talk) 19:06, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
RAI IS SPECULATING!!!!!! RelikzTalk 19:08, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
Read what the knights were saying and look at his arms. Shut up Reli! ✦Rai✦ ✦Talk✦ 19:09,8/5/2012
Still! It's speculation! RelikzTalk 19:12, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
My ass. Some things, much like Romeo, are common sense. And this is even more common sense than that. ✦Rai✦ ✦Talk✦ 19:13,8/5/2012
- No it's not! Obra can just be unconscious. SPECULATION!!!!!!!!!!!!! RelikzTalk 19:19, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
- sigh* one way or another, I think we should mention the little Imp on his page--FirePit (talk) 19:16, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
I think we need to say that the imp is Obra. I mean we already have on the page that the creature came from inside of him. And Mashima showed us that Obra's "appearance" was nothing more than a facade so... ✦Rai✦ ✦Talk✦ 19:17,8/5/2012
- Speculation. Te black thing came from his clothes, he could've just been hiding there. When has Mashima shown that? Just because he wasn't moving and his arms were bent means nothing. RelikzTalk 19:19, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
- Like with Romeo, speculation within reason. You mean just because his body was limp and his arms were no longer normally shaped but triangles? Yeah, humans bodies do that when they go unconscious. <sarcasm>And furthermore the Rune Knights comment was just random.</sarcasm> ✦Rai✦ ✦Talk✦ 19:22,8/5/2012
- If the black thing was Obra, why did the body have a speech bubble (even though he said nothing) here? RelikzTalk 19:26, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
(reset indent)It's not a matter of what seems obvious, it's a matter of what is obvious. And what would you suppose we do? ✦Rai✦ ✦Talk✦ 19:40,8/5/2012
- That we just write down that he brings this little devil along, that he can use it to talk and that it's battle power brang him 5 points at the MPF thing--FirePit (talk) 19:41, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
touché --FirePit (talk) 19:45, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
Black thing isn't Obra. Just his Magic, which is alive. IMO RelikzTalk 19:50, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
- ......That's even more far-fetched than my "speculation." ✦Rai✦ ✦Talk✦ 19:51,8/5/2012
- I think that's actualy way more likely :s--FirePit (talk) 19:52, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
I thought that it was obvious that it was Obra, and that guy was just a big puppet. I was surprised it was not presented this way in the article already. Sligneris (talk) 15:40, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
Transformation Magic
The recent episode 157 showed that Obra(or that imp) was able to change its head into Wendy... wonder if that could be said as "transformation magic". It looks kind of like when Mirajane transforms her head to Gajeel. ..::ShinShinTo::.04:33,11/18/2012
If the little black thing is his Magic... then its a Magic having Magic? I tihnk we should just wait until Obra is explained RelikzTalk 15:03, November 18, 2012 (UTC)
