Spearmanship

Shouldn't we add a Spearmanship section on the Armed combat zone? BOGOTA X - Talk 13:58,7/31/2012

As far as I remember, so far there has only been a pair of noteworthy spearmen, Knightwalker and Dan, and the latter isn't likely even canon, while we have several swordsmen worth noting.

If we were to add sections for every armed form of combat displayed so far, then we should also have Axemanship, Whipmanship and so on :P

Also Erza Scarlet has some competence with spears. And also the older Vanish Brother if you compare his huge frying pans to some sort of spear =D BOGOTA X - Talk 14:35,7/31/2012

Though it does seem a little inappropriate not to include them... Maybe add an "Other Masters" and "Other Experts" section under the Armed section and detail that these "others" are those who use weapons other than swords?   ✦Rai✦  ✦Talk✦     14:13,7/31/2012

Seems like a pretty nice idea, to tell it all. I think we could stick to it; creating completely new sections for arts which only have one or two users so far might be inappropriate (I'm the one to talk... :P).

Heaven and Earth Extinct Slaying Attack

I notice that the entitled move is under both armed and unarmed techniques. Which is it? Shouldn't we keep it under one?

Alzack & Bisca

Why were Alzack and Bisca listed in here?? They are guns user which mean a ranged combatant. I've checked what melee means and it said a close-ranged combat. I've also tried to search melee weapons and none of them listed guns as one of them. So, Alzack and Bisca is not suppose to be here. They are weapon expert, yes, but a ranged weapon not a melee weapon. So, I propose to remove them from this page.

Master and Expert

Yea uh how exactly are we gauging the level of master to expert in terms of hand to hand combat? From my POV Erza and/or Mystogan are much more skilled and fluent than brawlers and tanks like Natsu and Loke. Nothing that i have seen from Lokes technique,angle work,or combinations(if there are any) suggests that he is a "master" of hand to hand combat.--  Troll King                          21:10, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

Well Hungry, I guess the difference between "masters" and "experts" are that "masters" utilize it as their main form of combat, whereas experts utilize it as a backup option...I believe.

So basically we're not looking at skill per say and more of experience/usage. Wouldn't make sense, would it mean Vijeeter is a master above someone like Erza who is one of the most proficient hand to hand combat users we have seen in the entire series?--  Troll King                          21:24, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

Actually, that's not accurate, son. The terms "Master" and "Expert" are meant to show skill level that has been displayed (so far). And I like the classifications, but at times I am a bit wary of using them because they tend to get subjective at times. I agree with Hungry's assessment of Loke. Woooo woooo hooo, stop right there. Erza "is one of the most proficient hand to hand combat users we have seen in the entire series"? Are you high or what? All I remember seeing of Erza's unarmed prowess is a porn-like catfight between her and her Edolas counterpart, which showed no notable moves on her side whatsoever, and a palm strike to Midnight, which was destructive just due to her sheer strength. What's that about?

Oh, and by the way... Sugarboy is definitely in the wrong Swordsmanship league.

Could be to you, but that's the point unfortunately; it's a bit subjective. When you compare her fighting to someone like Erza or Natsu, you'd see that she's rather unmatched to the likes of them in that regard. So I hope you understand, as that's why it stays as it does :/

Yeah, but what specific skills in combat does Lucy have, beside Lucy Kick which isn't exactly a true move to begin with? She literally barely relies on any physical power, as she has her Celestial Spirits. She never beat any enemies, let alone when outnumbered (which usually mean something when calling someone an expert or master in combat). So yeah, I hope you get it. Mystogan's Classification

There's a certain incoherence here: On Mystogan's page, it says: "Expert Hand to Hand Combatant: Mystogan demonstrated considerable physical combat skills, being able to fight Natsu on relatively equal, if not greater, terms.[34]" Nevertheless, Natsu is classified as a Master Hand to Hand Combatant. So, if Mystogan is on par with him (or is even better), why is he an Expert? Sorry for any grammar mistakes. MiraMajinTalk! 00:36,3/2/2014

Mystogan being a Master H2H Combatant is not that much agreeable. He hasn't showed much of it after all. Instead of replacing Mystogan's Expert to Master or whatever, I think the one on his page should be the one rephrased. Mamerge Message07:41,5/4/2014

Carla and White Moon

Since Carla developed the ability to use Transformation Magic and now uses her human form for combat, do you think we should add her to Expert Hand-to Hand Combat and White Moon as a move? --Etweens96 (talk) 03:30, June 3, 2015 (UTC)
