Removal of the Reddit Discord
I'm writing this as a form of formality and documentation on the removal of the fairy tail reddit discord from the fairy tail wiki. Based on recent events, We are now ending our affiliation with the Fairy Tail reddit discord due to events brought up by User:Miskos3 as quoted below.

"Hello, so there has been a bit of, um, situation with the whole affiliation thing to the FT reddit and their discord. Basically, Michelle became a moderator in that discord, but ended up being constantly bullied by the rest of their staff and/or other people. Because of that, she decided to leave that server. Since as far as I'm concerned, I considered her as sort of a FT wiki representative in this whole affiliation thing, and in any kind of partnership, it looks quite bad to treat a person you're dealing with in such a manner."

When the idea of implementing the reddit discord in the fairy tail wiki was proposed by User:AstonishingSpiderMan, they've mentioned these "Ultimately like I said, I want to unite discord, reddit, and the ft wikia together where the fandom could coexist and prosper and thrive with our love for Fairy Tail."
As of this date, (April,25,2008), there's 84 Fairy Tail Chapters, and plenty of imformation about the series, to make a reasonable project, with enough information. Sadly i only see, as of this date, 9 Articles in this Wikia. So, anyone that can contribute to this project, please, add new articles, or update old Articles. Thank you.Sanji-kun 02:05, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

We believe that the discord staffs and members bullying someone from the fairy tail wiki side does not fit with what was promised to us by User:AstonishingSpiderMan. This kind of treatment does not support the idea of "unity between reddit, discord and coexistence" As admins we have taken an executive decision to terminate the said partnership. 11:18, June 6, 2020 (UTC)

None so far, but given that the people from the fairy tail wiki are already in the minority within the discord its very likely that the majority of users will stick with their fellow reddit discord members. Bullying a moderator to the point of them leaving the discord server already means that bullying is agreed upon by a lot of users and such thing were allowed to happen by the rest of the discord. Even if the bullying was denounced by User:AstonishingSpiderMan it doesn't change the fact that such thing happened, and it's very unlikely that they can force the discord members to change their ways either.

So it's really unfortunate that the situation led to this and promoting a place where such bullying happens is not what we were hoping to accomplish in the said partnership and it is definitely not the place where we would encourage the young and new fans of the series visiting the wiki to be exposed to. 12:07, June 6, 2020 (UTC)
For the sake of simplicity, and since I was asked to notify everyone if I was making a new article, let's all put the names of the articles we're going to create under this topic.

Michelle is lying, I have done nothing but treat everyone with respect. She has admitted to accusing mods of hating her but subsequently admitted to them doing a fair job of moderating. She even made up with a mod she accused of hating her. Additionally, she even stepped down from the server when she was mod because of reasons I did not agree with. Ultimately, I am saddened that this has even happened. We all worked hard to make this partnership happen, I have even been working on incentivicizing users (via gift cards, or other rewards) to edit and help in the wikia but if you wish to remove the affiliation then I respect the decision. I disagree vehemently but it is not my decision to make. I am honestly tired of this from her, she has an issue she then threatens to get the affiliation to be removed, she has to have her way, and it's frustrating. I have been respectful, I have tried doing something for the entire community but I will not be held hostage by her. I worked something out with you. Uncool is still there and still comments and interacts, Davjac who she considers a close friend doesn't agree with the accusation either. The records are there, she wasn't mistreated, she didn't like that there was a change implemented so she cried foul. - Spider-Man

I want to start off saying that in no way do users in the discord bully anyone. There is friendly banter yes, but to say we bullied someone into the point of leaving is 100% false. Next, Michelle and I are friends and in no way am I here to talk bad about her or anyone else for that matter. I am here to say yes, there were problems between people in the server, but it was never bullying. People didn't get along all that well sometimes and after some changes were made there were some issues that happened. Again, I am friends with Michelle and all the mods as well. I understand people were unhappy and were having a hard time that is literally just people not getting along all the time. Neither side was bullying the other. I am someone who tends to stay neutral which I will do now but really wanted to give another POV on this issue. I disagree with the statement that she was bullied out of the server 100% again and I do recognize there were issues between users which is bound to happen. The community and server are a good place and people are always having fun for the most part in their discussions and interactions with each other. I don't think it’s fair to punish everyone else revoking the affiliation over something where both parties were at fault for not getting along not bullying. Obviously, you probably don't care about my opinion or pov on the matter, but this is what happened. Not everyone is going to agree or get along all the time and it’s unfair to punish everyone else because of problems a few had with each other. Also, the post makes it seem like we are all bullies and rude which is not the case at all. These people are friends of mine on both sides. I wasn't going to make a statement because after i left the server that was the end of it for me. but i do want to clear some things up. the issues I had with the server stemmed from a select few individuals, and in no way reflects on the community as a whole. I won't be calling out or naming said individuals because honestly there isn't a need to - i still hold dearly to me many people from the server, a majority of which are part of the staff. the term bullying is not the most appropriate word for the conflicts that had occurred as i am not someone who is without fault. Nor was it a manner of outright harassment either.

However, i was not respected there, myself as well as many other people from the server have voiced the same opinions and thoughts. I was treated in a hurtful manner by people i considered friends to me or people who i had tried to make amends with.
Could we get a Categories page with all the different Categories listed? Baithin 20:45, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

if there is one thing i pride myself on, it is that i am a genuine person, it may appear as though i love to create drama but it is rather that i am someone who is not easily pushed around and i will always stand up for myself when i'm being treated poorly. I think a lot of people from the wiki could agree with that, as well as people from the server. Leaving the server was not a decision i took lightly and it is one i had sat on for a while and it is one that i didn't want to make, but ultimately i felt extremely uncomfortable remaining in a place where i felt nothing but hostility.
That's a redundant idea, to be honest. Categories aren't that important, besides we don't have that many at the moment. Maybe when we have enough that it would be logical to have such a page. Dalyup! 01:16, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

that's all i'm going to say on the matter because i have no need to drag this on any further, the decision to remove the affiliation was not a decision made or pushed solely by myself but was discussed by the admins themselves.
Well, they're a nice way to organize everybody. You can look in one place to find out who's a villain, who's a hero, who's a member of what guild, who USED to be a villain, etc etc. It'd definitely be helpful. Who knows how many category pages have actually been created so far? Baithin 01:40, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

:I vote for using the official names. Not only were they chosen and created by Hiro Mashima, the creator himself, but the "more popular names" were guesses made by just one random person. -Mr. Toto 02:37, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

::If by "official names" you mean Gerhardt, then I vote against that. I prefer Jeral or Gerard. - Baithin

:Not all official names will be 'Gerhardt', some will be Natsu 'Dragneel' and the such. I vote for the official names. Dalyup! 13:15, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

::Gerhardt was my mistake--it won't happen again. But please, let the vote continue on.-Mr. Toto 16:30, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

:I vote Gerard, Erza (instead of Elza), Gazille, and Lluvia. I don't know if these are the "official" names, but I prefer the latter two over "Gajeel" and Jubia. Also, did it occur to anyone that Blaine could really be "Brain"? I remember reading a sidenote in the manga about the translator expressing confusion over his name and only going with Blaine because Brain "sounded weird." However, Brain seems to fit with the rest of the names of the Oracion Seis - they all seem to be codenames, which was confirmed partially with Racer. - Baithin

We're not voting for particular names. We are voting for using English manga names for all of them or the more commonly known for all of them. Mystogan and Dragoneel are the worst out of the English manga ones. Mist Gun and Dragonil are much better. Gazille is also definitely better than Gajeel too. Well i vote for the translated names, but that what redirection pages are for -Umi

I wasn't entirely sure what the English manga names are. I definitely hate "Mystogan." I disagree with some, but not all, of the english manga names. - Baithin
