So ... anybody know where Ice-Make was stated to be a variation of Ice Magic or Water of Water Magic? Can't find it anywhere ... Asking 'cause it seems like the wiki just decided that similar Magic are variations of each other without any statement in the manga, in which case the Variations thing should be removed altogether. Apologies if it is included somewhere in the manga. --Sane Lunatic (talk) 07:48, July 14, 2015 (UTC)

: If someone will double check feel free to include, the variations of Fire Magic, Sand Magic, Archive, Hair Magic, Wind Magic and Gravity Magic. I thought the wiki just decides that a magic is a variation based on similar name and effects but if it was stated from any reliable source, then i guess this wiki is just following the official sources and avoiding speculations. 10:09, July 14, 2015 (UTC)

Wait. What exactly is the difference between the two Magics? According to their descriptions they are the same thing. I think Magical Drain, an unnamed anime only magic, should just be merged into Mimic, a named canon Magic. 01:10, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

@Sane Frankly, who knows. :/ Maybe they were said to be variations... maybe they weren't. >_> The series has been going on for a long time and this wiki is old as dirt, and some (incorrect) things have been on the wiki so long that we don't even notice that they weren't confirmed in the manga. Like how we had Team Natsu as an official name for the longest time before Chaos told us that it was never used in the manga. :/ That being said, I'd be fine with us trying to weed out which are legit manga verified variations and which are just our imagination. @Reli Uhhh... let's not and say we did. I'm fine with consolidating generally, but we don't know enough about Mimic and its mechanics to be labeling random Magics as Mimic. Velveno's Magic was specifically stated to be initiated by touch. Are we going to add that bit to Mimic's page even though that was never said about Mimic? Certainly not. Because that's speculative as hell. :P  03:26,7/15/2015

Magical Drain is not unnamed though? There isn't such category on the article and I honestly doubt we would come up with such a dumb name... right? 07:27, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

Variations:Mimic

Due to the magic Mimic has similar Abilities, despite different ways of casting, I suggests that they must be linked as variations of each other. HamodyTartaros' NecromancerAsgail 6:40, July 11, 2015 (UTC)

While they may be similar, there is no indication that they are the same magic or variations of the same magic. They are different enough that we can't consider them the same-- God · Pray · 18:17,7/11/2015

Oppose Oppose - Any change at this time. Unless something comes up in future that suggests that Mimic and Magical Drain are similar in nature, in which case I would support a change. DeraxSend me a message 14:39, July 13, 2015 (UTC)

If someone will double check feel free to include, the variations of Fire Magic, Sand Magic, Archive, Hair Magic, Wind Magic and Gravity Magic. I thought the wiki just decides that a magic is a variation based on similar name and effects but if it was stated from any reliable source, then i guess this wiki is just following the official sources and avoiding speculations.
