This is the talk page for the article "Living Magic".
The description of this magic says that it is "an ancient, long-forgotten Magic", can I get a referenced on that? Since that would make this a LOST Magic.03:57, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
A good point made by Goblin in RWA. Is the appearance of an Etherious in a Chapter enough to warrant the inclusion of Living Magic in the Chapter's Magic section? Unlike Celestial Spirits, they are actually Spells. In fact, should they be included under Spells section too? --Sane Lunatic (talk) 13:20, June 11, 2015 (UTC)
I would have to say no. An Etherious may be a creation, but the usage and inclusion of Living Magic should be limited to only if they are summoned from their book, or something similar. They have already been summoned and are characters before they are spells. How things are is fine, and doing this would over-complicate things unnecessarily, imo.

Wouldn't it actually be the other way around? They would be considered Spells before they are considered Characters? They are quite a bit like programs, right? For example, Etherious Form is actually the true form of these Demons, but we include it in the Abilities section when they are using it even if they didn't transform in that Chapter. --Sane Lunatic (talk) 13:47, June 11, 2015 (UTC)
Okay, then let me put this to you another way. Do you want to go around and on 400+ chapters put Living Magic because Natsu shows up in them? Natsu is an Etherious.

Erk ... laziness wins! Revert this discussion, hurry! D:
Tbh, if it has to be done, it has to be done. 4 people, 10 Chapters a day per person, everything over in a fortnight with hardly any load on anybody. Unless we decide that it doesn't have to be done. Guess that's fine too. Nothing more to say really. ^^ --Sane Lunatic (talk) 14:24, June 11, 2015 (UTC)
I don't think it has to be done, because the actual spell is the creation of the Demon. They are just byproducts of the casting of the spell. Etherious Form is an actual ability, and it's actively in use when they are in the form, therefore it is listed as being used. Unless the actual book is opened or closed for the character, then I wouldn't count Living Magic as being used, because as I've said, the actual casting of the spell to create or revert the Demon to/from book form. They are just the results of the spell being cast, but in terms of listing them as spells in general in the navigation templates, that much is correct...kinda. For example, I still wouldn't list "Natsu Dragneel" as a spell, but I would list Living Magic as being used whenever E.N.D.'s book is opened. :/

This may be a bit off-topic, but does the appearance of Lullaby's demon form in chapter 20/episode 8 count as an instance of Living Magic or a simple form change? -- The Talk Goblin 15:37, June 11, 2015 (UTC)
- Form change, I'd say, as Lullaby did it of its own volition. It just attained its true form, like the Etherious do. Only difference is that its original form was that of a flute, not a mobile organism. --Sane Lunatic (talk) 15:40, June 11, 2015 (UTC)
- I loled cuz I first read it as "mobile orgasm" XD 17:24, June 11, 2015 (UTC)
if we agree he's an Etherious cause he can use curses, should he be considered an Living Magic?21:40, June 6, 2016 (UTC)
I think it'd be speculation to just assume he's a construct like the Demon Gates. He could just as well have been a normal living being that was changed into a Demon for all we know. NoNickNeeded (talk) 06:51, June 7, 2016 (UTC)
