Ice Blade: Seven Slice Dance

I'm not sure about Iced Shell, but this one is definitely an Ice-Make spell. When Gray was fighting Ultear, he said something like "I believe in Ur's Molding Magic" just before attacking her with this spell. Also, it seems to be linked with Icebringer, another Ice-Make spell, because in both cases Gray says "Ice Blade" (Hyōjin).192.162.208.3 15:10, December 20, 2013 (UTC)

When fighting Ultear, Gray just said I believed in Ur's Magic, which we also have here as Ice Magic. But there are many reasons why we don't list Ice Blade: Seven Slice Dance as Ice-Make. First, he doesn't say "Ice-Make" at the beginning but instead says "Ice Blade". Second, he doesn't put his fist on his palm like all Ice-Make spells. Third, (though kind of a stretch) he was able to use it once by freezing his own blood, yet Ice-Make doesn't freeze, it creates things made of ice. And I just checked and in the 2 times Gray has used Ice Bringer he hasn't said Ice Blade. 17:20, December 20, 2013 (UTC)

Gray said "Ur's Molding Magic" in manga chapter 240 (page 13) and in anime episode 116 There are other spells where Gray doesn't say "Ice-Make", like Ice Cannon, Ice Geyser, Super Freeze Arrow. Also, on Gray's page on this wiki it is said that Ice-Make can also freeze things. Gray was seen freezing things without putting hands together, like with Sugarboy's key from Dragon Chain Cannon in chapter 185 and episode 88 (by the way, he also used Ice-Make: Floor in that fight in Lyon's single-hand style). And yes, Gray didn't say Ice Blade along with Icebringer in manga, but he did in anime episode 120 (vs. Hades). Speaking about anime, Gray made his Ice-Make pose before using Seven Slice Dance in episodes 37 (vs. Fukuro) and 88 (vs. Sugarboy), but not in 116 (vs. Ultear). Then we are looking at different translations. And maybe he didn't say "Ice-Make" before them, but Gray did put his hands together and did create something, which are the properties of Ice-Make. They did not have another completely different pre-title like "Ice Blade" before the spells. He didn't freeze the key because freezing something doesn't cause something to have spikes coming out of it like here, he is putting layers of spiked ice on top of the key. And anime stuff is not canon. Hmm I had forgotten that Gray also did that spell against Sugarboy and it looks like yes, he put his hands together for that; though he didn't put his hands together when he did it against Fukuro or when he did it against Ultear. I guess we can have a vote on it but remember that he did say Ice Blade instead of Ice-Make 17:52, December 21, 2013 (UTC)

Well, I'm lost here. Anyway, it says molding magic here, but I don't know Japanese, so I can't check out the original version. But even I can clearly hear "Zōkei Mahō" in the corresponding anime moment. Still, it is clearly different from other Gray's spells, so apparently we need to ask more people.192.162.208.3 16:24, December 22, 2013 (UTC)
