So, since the statistics were released in Vol. 33 by Kodansha as well, the scanlated stats were given a different name per character.
It would be awkward and inconsistent to change certain stats and leave the rest as is since we are reflecting it off the same translator, so for this vote, I think it will be unanimous. Support if you wish for the names for all the stats to be changed and Oppose if you think they should remain the same.
(the proposal is bolded)
- Offense > Attack Power
- Defense > Defensive Power
- Fairy Tail A
- Lucy Heartfilia: Bust > Cleavage
- Elfman Strauss: Being a Man > Manliness
- Fairy Tail B
- Gajeel Redfox: Singing Ability > Singing Voice
- Laxus Dreyar: Being Boss > Badass Boss
- Juvia Lockser: Unrequited Love > Love Unrequitedness
- Mirajane Strauss: Pin-Up > Pin-Upability

So remember, it's a unanimous vote so simply vote Support - or Oppose - it's entirety, not individual stats.
Thank you, sound off~

Oppose - This is a tough one since its all or nothing but I dislike more of these than I like so I will have to oppose--GodPray 23:39,9/6/2013
Support' - mainly because the proposal does not have incorrect spellings of defence and offence, but also because in general the proposals sound better as well--Quoth The Raven "Nevermore" ' 23:51, September 6, 2013 (UTC)
Neutral - / Support - While I like most of them, there are some that doesn't fit my palette. Though yeah, I am leaning mostly on support.

Oppose - The first two were okay, but I don't like the ones after.

Oppose - They're all horrible. KurokamiZero ♦ Talk ♦ Contribute 00:17, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Oppose - If it's all or nothing, I've got to oppose.
WrathZero 02:46, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Support - Yes :) only one I don't like is Mama? > Maternal Instincts? 03:13, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Oppose - The excessive "-ness" to almost everything is just ugh. Glass Heart (GHeart) 03:42,9/7/2013
Support - I'm completely opposite to most of you. The suffix of -ness is actually better English, as -ness is used to show the measure of the adjective. For example, how can you measure white? You can measure a level of whiteness, but not of white. Similarly, how do you measure handsome? I thought the added stats were a little weird when I first saw them, and this just makes more sense imo ( .__.)~ ☆°・*CarrotSays...*・°☆ 03:58, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
- There are plenty of measure scales that are named with nouns and make perfect sense. Or do you measure preassureness, temperatureness, air humidityness and speedness? NoNickNeeded (talk) 09:38, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
- Uhh... Those are all completely different examples. Those are nouns specifically created to measure their particular field. Temperature is a measure of the degree of heat in a substance, for example. We don't use the word handsome to measure the level of attractiveness a person has; the word dictates that we believe they are good looking. Hawtness however is such a measuring word. And yes, I know they are odd, but as Prime said, they are made up words by Jason, who is known for such things. Besides, humans naturally add prefixes and suffixes that sound and match patterns of other words and we understand these even if they are incorrect because we know such patterns. Hence why octopuses is an acceptable plural of octopus. For those who don't know, the correct plural is octopodes, but due to humans applying patterns (and most plurals ending is s) that is being changed. So... my vote stays and won't change. Argue all you like... I don't give a damn...
☆°・*CarrotSays...*・°☆ 10:03, September 7, 2013 (UTC)- I'm just giving out arguments to consider and stating my opinion like everyone else, so why the sudden hostility? NoNickNeeded (talk) 10:22, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
- I'm in a foul mood tonight. I'm sorry if I sounded pissed off at you or anyone else; I didn't mean to come across in such a way. ☆°・*CarrotSays...*・°☆ 10:28, September 7, 2013 (UTC)

Oppose - Most of them don't sound better. RifatTalk04:20,9/7/2013
Support - I actually have plenty more I like than I dislike. Plus I agree with Carrot, the ones I proposed are more appropriate to measurements.

Choko Kuguza No Tobira ♔ 22:38, 9/7/2013
Oppose - "Whiteness", "Girlness", ect? Seriously? Those aren't even words. Who came up with such translations? There are very few that would be an improvement, some that are equal but just too many that just sound plain stupid for me to support changing all of them.
NoNickNeeded (talk) 08:27, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Support - They may not make grammatical sense, but I think that's why they ought to be changed. I know it seems odd to say that, but the fact is that these stats come from the view of Jason from the SM and given his personality, the idea that he would label the terms as such to measure the tournament participants by them is not out of the realm of possibility. It's well within it, if anything. Others have also brought up the fact that they're suitable terms for measurement and I don't disagree, ergo I support. King of Uncool 08:51,9/7/2013
Support - I completely agree with the arguments for change, especially Carry's Miskos3 Message 09:23, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Oppose - I hate more than I like. RainbowShifter 09:36, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
