I like Garou Knights more than Legion/Order of Hungry Wolves. Let's rename it! Also, why does the page have the "The" in it anyway?RelikzBickslow Doll3Talk 00:08, November 10, 2012 (UTC)

Hey guys~

Just cause I was looking through these pages, I saw that all of the Garou Knights have been marked with the category "villains". Now, it might just be me, but are these guys really villains? I mean, I know they fought FT a bit, but they were doing so under command of the princess. In fact, they're merely executioners. What I'm getting at is that their normal job is stated as being: "they guard the Abyss Palace as executioners, and execute all criminals who are sent there."

To me, it seems more that they just do their job: executions of people the king/princess have decreed to be criminals. They didn't know what FT had done, they were just following orders. Heck, they later show up with the Royal Army (good guys) and are next to the king later on at the banquet after the GMG. To me the villain label is incorrect then :/ If anything, Hisui should probably get a villain label too for inadvertently helping FRogue, because, for me, the two situations are no different: FRogue seems good so she listens to him and does "bad" things -> Hisui is a princess and states that FT are law breakers so the GKs go to remove them which is a "bad" thing.

To add to this, Arcadios doesn't have a villain category, and he kidnapped Wendy/Carla and did a whole bunch of dodgy stuff too. In my eyes, the villain category should be removed from the GK members' pages.

What do you guys think? :/

The way I recall, they were added to that category simply due to acting against Fairy Tail, the protagonists of the story. "Villain" is too much of a one-sided of a term for us to use in my book because it carries a connotation of evil and inherent wrong-doing which as you said, isn't really the case with these guys. In my honest opinion, the category itself should be deleted and replaced with "Antagonist" (thus "former villain" becomes "former antagonist") since that better allows us to categorize people such as them without carrying the implication that they are evil. I heavily agree with the antagonist label tbh. I mean, even look at people like Jellal and Gajeel. Jellal was possessed to do bad things and Gajeel was later revealed to just be taking orders from fear of Jose and stuff, so I do agree that perhaps the villain label should be changed to "antagonist" to remove the negative implication that these people are pure evil. ☆°・*CarrotSays...*・°☆ 07:56, April 21, 2014 (UTC)
I think changing the categories into antagonists would be best. If that's not an option, I'm also for removing the Garou Knights from the category.
But Gajeel makes a bad example for a not evil antagonist. Jose only ordered him to destroy Fairy Tail's guild-hall. The attack on Shadow Gear was Gajeel's own idea. I guess that can still be explained away with him being meticulous in his mission and going above and beyond the call of duty. But when he tortured Lucy, he did it only out of boredome, even going against the orders Jose had given him. Also I don't remember Gajeel ever being shown or said to be afraid of Jose or that he only followed his orders out of that fear. If anything that incident with Lucy indicated that he is not afraid of Jose. NoNickNeeded (talk) 08:05, April 21, 2014 (UTC)

I absolutely support changing 'villain' to 'antagonist'. Miskos3 Message 09:11, April 21, 2014 (UTC)

I remember bringing this up 3 years ago somewhere :3 But if I remember correctly I said that Antagonist should be a new category, not one that replaces villain because some antagonists are not villains and some villains are not antagonists. Some examples: Simon was an antagonist, but not a villain. Gajeel was a villain AND an antagonist. I forgot what example I gave for villain but not antagonist but I'll bring it up when I remember it Bickslow Doll Bickslow Doll3Bickslow Doll 2 14:43, April 21, 2014 (UTC)

I agree with the 'Antagonist' category. Gemini PNGAnimaltamer7Gemini KeyAnimaltamer7 (talk) 03:00, April 22, 2014 (UTC)

The purpose of a tag is to appropriately categorize characters as per their affiliation at one point or another. We have "Villain" atm as a character that has gone against Fairy Tail at some point (Gajeel, Juvia). While I do like the "Antagonist" category, I do not think we need to have Villain and Antagonist co-coinciding with one another. This tag/ category pretty much rounds up the villains, whether they were former or current.

Oh.. basically, my vote is to change Villain to Antagonist.

While the term "Garou Knights" is used, would it still be okay to add trivia that garou means hungry wolfes?--JouXIII (talk) 16:21, May 9, 2015 (UTC)
