This is the talk page for the article "Erik".
He can hear movements because snakes can feel vibrations in the ground, and i fixed the grammar Umibouzu 22:15, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Ah I missed that, thanks. Retro7 05:47, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
It's official one. It's from chapter 149 ("Super sky battle - Natsu vs Cobra). Ishthak 16:54, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
He shortly appeared in flashback in episode 34, shouldn't we add that? The same goes for Angel, Hoteye, Racer and Cuberios. Maybe even Midnight, but I'm not sure. --22.214.171.124 18:10, April 21, 2012 (UTC)
Does anybody remember where it is said that his hearing is magically enhanced? It's supposed to be a form of Magic, right? I'd like to create a proper page for it.
--19:44, April 25, 2012 (UTC)
I thought it was an effect of his Poison Dragon Slayer Magic... 19:46, April 25, 2012 (UTC)
Whaaaaat?! Since when?! I remember quite clearly that it was stated to be Magical in nature (and that's the information I'm looking for), but no a result of his Poison Dragon Slayer Magic... O_o
--20:21, April 25, 2012 (UTC)
No worries, I found it! It's Chapter 149, page 17! ;)

|Hair color changed to Maroon|
|Please do not edit this discussion.|
Why does his hair color say "Crimson"? This is Crimson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimson_(color). I color checked Cobra's hair from the anime and manga and it more so resembles Maroon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maroon_(color). I used this as reference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Shades_of_red. But names like "Crimson" and "Maroon"... they aren't very appropriate for hair colors, are they?
Well, I checked the different shades of brown as well and compared Anime Cobra and Manga Cobra's hair color to all the shades of brown (which Maroon was apart of) and Maroon won again. It resembled better than Burgundy, which was the 2nd option. But we shall see what Rauleli thinks~
And I think you should discuss it here first before suddenly changing it. It's urk-worthy.
- Lying. Very mature. I said "red-brown" not brown. Anyone can look at the history of this page or your talk page to see the truth. And Umnei, discussing every little thing before you make an edit is just idiotic. People should only discuss an issue if there's a disagreement over it. When I first made the edit there was no disagreement. When there was disagreement, I did discuss it. Furthermore, this should be a common sense issue, since all you have to do is eyeball Cobra's hair and then determine the color. Someone who rarely makes edits telling a regular wikian contributor how to edit is irksome (it's irk, not urk; you spelled it incorrectly); not being one yourself, you don't have much authority to decide what is and isn't "urk-worthy."-- 20:37, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
Honestly Suzaku, you need to watch yourself. You yap away and start getting personal when things don't need to. At least my edits don't drive people up the wall. And yes, you still do need to discuss what you change because changes can very well be opinionated, just like your current attempt to change his hair color. I'm surprised you need to question that since you think you can patronize me for my contributions, which by the way, is very disappointing coming from a supposed admin of another wikia. Admins that patronize other members by their edit count is extremely shameful and you are a terrible representation for whichever wikia you administrate, no matter which other wikia you decide to contribute to. Seriously Suzaku, This is the very reason why you were banned from Fairy Tail wiki chat and eventually, if you keep up with your attitude, consequences will get worse.
and P.S, "red brown" is more red than Maroon is.
I can distinguish 7 colors only, besides black and white :/20:56,10/23/2012
Umnei, this is exactly what I'm talking about. You have no right to chastize me. It's not the size of the edit count, but where the focus is; this is an important distinction to make, but conveniently one you gloss over all too readily. I didn't get personal, I just rebuked you for being presumptuous. So don't tell me what you think is "shameful" or whether or not you think I need to "watch" myself, because you are in no position to give me advice, especially advice which is neither asked for, nor welcome. I never got personal with you, and if you think that reminding people of their station is a terrible representation of my wiki, well we're not really advertising for non-contributors, especially ones with peculiar and counter-productive convictions. So your opinion really doesn't bother me, I've had no complaints from our team. And no, I don't need to discuss everything, please show me where that is written, anywhere. Most people all over the world just make their edits and discuss them if there's a disagreement. I don't need to have a committee meeting to decide when to breathe. Not everything needs to be a fricking UN summit.--21:01, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
-___- Sigh. Constant bitching irks or urks (whatever floats you guys' boat) me to no end. I say Maroon. Now, how about we all concentrate on the subject at hand and stop arguing about pointless things. ✦Rai✦21:06,10/23/2012
Do not use this page for your inane arguments, Suzaku of the Four Saint Beasts. This is a talk page for discussions, not for your daily arguments. The community voted in favor of Umnei's opinion. You came, said what you wanted to say, and started a new irrelevant discussion. Hate to break it to you, but that's not the way it works. Another chuck of unnecessary words on this page, and I shall personally report you.21:10, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
- I think it's my turn to sigh...just because you have a personal prejudice against me doesn't mean you get to dismiss everything I do. I actually didn't bring an argument out of nowhere. I was addressing criticisms brought against me by Umnei, and correcting Rauleli's attempt to misrepresent something that I said. How about you stop trying to turn everything into a witch hunt. If Rauleli and Rai can ignore me, what makes it so hard for you?-- 21:14, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
- I actually do not ignore you (Reli does though...). Apparently everyone dislikes you because of how you are on chat. I never visit chat so I haven't had the chance to witness you in action. As such, I have no problems with you as of yet. :P ✦Rai✦21:19,10/23/2012
- Such a hypocrite you are. And I choose when to ignore someone, I do not ignore just because others are doing so. But your attitude and personality can really cause lots of people to ignore you, I think most people here think the same. But sure, I'll ignore you, it's not that hard to do anyways :P. 21:22, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Rai, I meant "ignore" in the sense that you don't get bogged down in attacking something that I've said. Which I appreciate. As you can see, there are a plethora of individuals who like to nit-pick everything I say and find something therein to get offended by. I consider every person like you who absents themselves from that ever-growing group to be a blessing.-- 21:24, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
First of all, I never brought up wikia edit counts, which is what you are doing. Something an administrator of any wikia should not be doing. It is indeed embarrassing and also, You telling me how I am in no position to give any advice is very hypocritical of you, since you seem to be readily available to dish out some opinions here and there. And Excuse me, but you did get personal with me, and you were the one that started it. I have screenshots indicating this and the fact that you victimize yourself and always flip arguments around so you are the one who ends up correct is common practice by you. If your constant warnings/ kicks and your current ban doesn't justify this, I don't know what will. You blatantly said on chat that you don't think you have an issue. Get off your pedestal. You claim you don't need to discuss things but evidently you do since Rauleli has been pissed off by your lack of judgement.
Sure, my opinions might be minuscule to you but a majority of the active Fairy Tail wikia community have also expressed a similar opinion to your condescending methods of "discussing", since they aren't arguments to you. Putting your profile page up for deletion can only lead us to think you're leaving this wikia, so why wait? Despite a contributor's ability to help a wikia grow, If they themselves are as condescending, rude, over-literal and as much of a smart-allick as you are, then they are not someone that a community-emphasized would value having around them.
Every screenshot and every report of you, in addition to a letter from various users that you have had an issue with and your current ban can easily be sent to Wikia and that's sufficient content for them to pass judgement. There's a very big chance they will pass judgement on you equivalent to SeaTerror's. Unless you clean your act up, don't expect to stick around. I'm tired of dealing with this everytime. This is about Cobra's hair color and you seem to have turned this into an unnecessary petty argument. Yes you started this one Suzaku. Just like a majority of the conflicts that you have been involved in.
P.S "the criticism's brought about by Umnei" would never have been necessary if you didn't remark like a smartass when I said "it urks people when you change without discussing". Your argument involved "authority", something you yourself don't have here and you tried to justify that by putting yourself over due to your wiki edits. Again, people dont like you because you start these conflicts. Believe what you want but your diva attitude is not wanted and I will go ahead and submit everything I have, in addition to several FT wiki member's affidavits. I'll get enough so dont use the "he only asked the people that don't like me" excuse.
- I'm not reading this^. I've said my two cent's worth already and I'm not retrenching myself in this tiring argument. You will not get, nor do you deserve, a response from me. I pity you for trying to fire this back up just as it was fizzling out.-- 21:30, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
Very cute. Enjoy your ban. Get used to it because with your attitude, you'll be facing alot more.
Ok. If you two don't stop RIGHT NOW I will ban both of you for Vandalism on a Talk page because the things that you are talking about HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH A MAIN SUBJECT. Thank you.22:00, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
Alright Ishy, I'm sorry. However, Suzaku is probably leaving the wiki so banning him wouldn't make a difference..
Guys there is no need to behave like this for such trivial things! Ostracize someone or fill a talk page with useless disputes doesn't solve anything!!!
Ps: after reading this discussion everytime I look at the colour of Cobra's hair I get confused... -.-"10:09, October 24, 2012 (UTC)
I'm not entirely sure whether events in Key of the Starry Sky make him a former villain or not. I'm talking here specifically about the moment when he meets Kinana and lets Magic Council arrest him. Sligneris (talk) 15:55, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
It is a bit hard to give a statement but I wouldn't say hes a Former Villian just because he reunited with Kinana. All the other villians in that category gave us some sort of an indication, but Cobra's wasn't that obvious.16:01, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
I don't remember stating anything about the reason he became a villain, actually. I meant more of a way in which he stopped being a villain, in a sense. Also, you seem to answer me like I'm denying him being a villain, which I didn't. He was clearly a villain until his reunion with Kinana, whatever the reason. My point here was slightly different. Sligneris (talk) 22:05, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
I think Rauleli misinterpreted but I understand the jist of what he means, he meant Cobra being nice doesn't mean he's a former villian lol22:08, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
Alright, so we will leave it like that. On the other note it looks rather silly with Zeref being in the "Former villains" category, because there is no evidence against it, but having even less reason to put him there in the first place xP Sligneris (talk) 22:37, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
Doesn't Cobra has the ability of hearing other people's thoughts? I know it is written a bit in the SOUND MAGIC section of his magics and ability; but I think Enhanced hearing should be written somewhere seperately because even Natsu was able to have that ability due to the Flare vs Lucy situation. 126.96.36.199 02:26, February 16, 2013 (UTC)
were Cobra's and Oración Seis's past ever shown in the manga ? I think that it wasn't revealed in the manga that they were slaves in the tower of heaven; therfore, it should be marked as non-canon. --Sifadil (talk) 08:36, April 30, 2015 (UTC)
It doesn't contradict the manga in any way and it's properly referenced with an anime episode, so it's fine.08:42, April 30, 2015 (UTC)
That's also my opinion. I asked because I thought that this wikia is very strict about what is canon and what is not, seeing how Key of the Starry Sky arc was considered completely non-canon even though it also doesn't contradict the manga with the author involved in making it, not to mention that there is a reference to it in the manga along with cobra's new design that was retained. But maybe this is a different case. Thank you for your previous answer. --Sifadil (talk) 09:06, May 4, 2015 (UTC)
Correct. Cobra being a slave is not canon but its added because it doesn't contradict the manga. We are strict on things that contradict the canon material, which is the manga, which is not the case here.13:54, May 4, 2015 (UTC)
First in Nirvana Arc, He prays to hear the voice of his friend Cubellios, In Tartaros Arc, Jellal mentionned to Meredy that Erik prays that he'll share his unbelievable story to his friend, Wouldn't that mean Kinana? Thedarksorcerer56 (talk) 08:41, December 19, 2015 (UTC)
