Crimson vs Flame...
If I remember correctly, around July of 2010, I posted a name change from Crimson Lotus to Flame Lotus because that's what Del Rey translated at the time. However, it somehow changed back to Crimson Lotus somehow... My question is, should we change it to what Del Rey and Kodansha uses today (Flame) or should we keep it as what we used for a long time (Crimson)? ChaosKnight 21:40, December 13, 2011 (UTC)
That depends. Does Guren Karyūken translate directly to Crimson Lotus of Flame Lotus? If it is the former, then I think we should just leave it since we've had it so long. If it is the latter, then I think we should change it since it's both official and the literal translation.
Dragon Slayer's Secret Art (滅竜奥義 Metsuryū Ōgi)?

How can we be sure that it is a Dragon Slayer's Secret Art? If you check this chapter: http://www.mangareader.net/135-7178-26/fairy-tail/chapter-63.html, Natsu doesn't say the prefix "Metsuryū Ōgi", while he clearly said while casting this: http://www.mangareader.net/135-58237-5/fairy-tail/chapter-206.html. The others Dragon Slayers also says "Metsuryū Ōgi" before their Secret Arts, like here: http://www.mangareader.net/fairy-tail/288/13 and here: http://www.mangareader.net/135-58826-13/fairy-tail/chapter-212.html. Unless Natsu has used this technique later and claimed it to be a Secret Art, I think we shouldn't consider it as one. 14:18, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
And... where in this article does it say that it's a Dragon Slayer's Secret Art? I see no such thing.14:37, July 13, 2014 (UTC)

Ah, I see. Are we completely sure it has never been called a secret art? *looks at the other wiki users*22:00, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
I can't say for sure since I'm not the right person to ask for Natsu's spells but if it cannot be confirmed as one, it's a simple edit away~ :)

Unless my memory is really bad, I'm pretty sure that's the only time he ever used this spell.22:17, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
Yes, Chapter 63/episode 28 is the only time he has ever used it. I think it was just assumed that because all the Fire Dragon Slayer Secret Arts begin with Crimson Lotus this one was one too.22:41, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
I believe it was used in a filler against Erigor (Oracion Seis arc) too, but I don't remember it being a secret art there either. Someone might want to check, I don't have old episodes on this laptop.22:44, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
Oh well, Sting's Secret Art is called "Holy Nova". He also has a spell called Holy Ray and we don't consider it being a Secret Art because of the "Holy" prefix. Plus, I've always thought we were loyal to manga informations, not anime ones, specially fillers episodes.22:48, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
The manga didn't say whether it was or wasn't a Secret Art, so if the anime says it is then we go by that because it isn't contradicting the manga. Anyway, I checked and he did in fact use this spell, however, it is never stated whether it is or isn't a secret art.22:54, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
So, will it be changed?23:16, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
we will be waiting for input from other users.23:18, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
I just checked Episode 28, and here's how it went:
Gajeel: O-ore wa.. saikyou no..
Natsu: Kore de owari da! Guren Karyū Ken!
