hey im wondering if taught lucy on how to do celestial spirit magic then does that mean he know how to do celestial spirit magic.

I think we should keep as just "Bero", for rather obvious reasons. That's the name of this character and this "Old Man" looks pretty unnecessary to me.

If Lucy said "Old Man Bero," it should stay as it is. Unlike Spetto, where as she only said Spetto, not Ms. Spetto.
However, that's just my opinion. :P

It's pretty simple. "Old" is the name, "Man" is the epithet, and "Bero" would be the surname.
Seriously, what the fuck?
Natsu refers to most villains in the series as "bastard" (or a similarly-translated derogatory term) most of the time. Are we by chance naming pages "Bastard Erigor", "Bastard Zero" etc. as a result? Lucy referred to Bero as such, because, yeah, he's an old man. It's not like his name is written down as such in the civil registry (if Fiore has something like that... which, considering how people can take part in official Magic contests without revealing their name and identity, I doubt).

The thing is, we've seen elderly characters before. We know Bero happens to be Lucy's teacher in Celestial Spirit Magic, and for all we know, "Old Man" is the title given to him, as a sign of him being wiser. I think Old Man should stay.
