Liberius (白魔術教団, Riberiasu) is a cult worshiping the White Arts that was founded by the White Wizard, who currently shares the body of Tōka. It is considered to be a counterpart to Avatar.[1]
History
Over its creation in the last 100 years, the founder and its devotees believe in the philosophy of changing the world into a "white nothingness", placing restrictions on their Magic Power giving the founder the ability to erase it or make it uncontrollable in use.[1] They also believe that a large amount of Magic is evil which will lead to chaos and destruction and the people who are against them will be reduced.[2]
Location and Building
Their specific buildings and locations are unknown but one of their church is located within Draseel.[3] Through requests cultists of Liberius (specifically the White Wizard) have been seen to travel throughout the world such as the southern continent of Ishgar and northern continent of Giltena in order to invoke their goal.[4]
Goal
Liberius' goal is the change the world into a "white nothingness" using the power of restriction on anyone able to use Magic. Liberius travels to places that harbor great Magic Power, with the mindset of preventing anyone from becoming like Zeref due to any type of huge magical gathering in one place. The founder the White Wizard has conducted over 100 cases of restricting Magic from other Mages in the recent months before September X793, invoking Magic Deficiency Disease upon the ones that, in the worst case scenario, causes the victim to die afterwards.[1]
Strength
While the strength of the specific devotees are unknown, the founder of Liberius is said to rival Zeref's prowess and abilities.[5]
