Molding Magic (造形魔法 Zōkei Mahō) is a Caster Magic used by Molding Mages.
Description[]
This magic allows the user to mold or create something by concentrating their Magic Power into their hands, like an element, into different shapes or forms.[1] If the user uses both of their hands in molding an element, they can increase the accuracy of their manipulation of said element. Casting one-handed is easier, but it is a less stable form of molding, and may result in less powerful creations.[10][11] Currently, there are only six known types of Molding Magic: Ice-Make; Wood-Make; Memory-Make; Iron-Make; Water-Make; and Fire-Make. Though, Corpse Dragon Slayer Magic was also speculatively referred to as Ash-Make, implying the existence of said type.[12]
Molding Magic has been described as an "unrestrained" type of Magic, with the shapes created reflecting the personality of the user.[13] Therefore, creations tend to be different from user to user, even if the users happen to be proficient in the same element.[1][5][14] This type of Magic can be easily mistaken for Alchemy.[15][16]
Skilled users are able to mold foreign elements conjured by other Mages, reshaping them for the molding Mage’s use as well as any unique properties it may have,[17] they can even channel the energy of said properties through their bodies and fire at a target.[18] Mages with a secondary elemental magic that have special effects can make use of it to augment their Molding Magic, such as Ice Devil Slayer Magic for Ice-Make,[19] or Fire Dragon Slayer Magic for Fire-Make.[20]
