1. Hero's (Hero's)
Team Natsu takes a tropical vacation on True Island, where the truth of the world sleeps. While exploring the jungle, Natsu gets into a fight over a fruit with a boy who uses Gravity Ether Gear, a strange power unlike any Magic Natsu has ever seen. Their battle is interrupted by the boy's friend, Rebecca, who reveals that there are plenty other fruits just like the one they've been bickering over. With their differences resolved, Natsu immediately befriends the boy, Shiki, and offers to help him find a friend named Homura, who went missing while looking for something on the island called "Oasis". Unbeknownst to them, their presence is found by one of the island's natives, Shinra, whose concerns for Oasis are dismissed by his elderly mentor, the Creator, who can turn things from his imagination into reality. Meanwhile, Haru and his friends are also on the island and intend to destroy Oasis.

2. Island (Island)
After Natsu and Shiki's groups marvel over the similarities between each other and the people they know, the two boys set out with Happy to investigate the island town in search of Homura, who recovers from a heatstroke to find herself imprisoned in a temple dungeon. While she puts up with the company of Wonderful Gocche and Ichiya, Haru's group infiltrates the temple to confront the Creator over Oasis, a Dark Bring that gives him his power over imagination; as a sign of goodwill, the Creator reveals all of his soldiers to be imaginary and dispels them away. Upon Natsu and Shiki's arrival in town, Let and Julia—a duo with the scent of Dragons—overhear the two boys talking about Oasis and prepare to eliminate them, assuming them to be enemies.

3. Rebel (Rebel)
Natsu and Shiki prove to be a match for Let and Julia and their Dragon Race techniques. Meanwhile, the Creator—Mashuma—heeds Haru's warning about Oasis's true nature, but as he ponders over the consequences that destroying the evil stone would have on the island, he is betrayed and stabbed by Shinra, who has fallen under the Dark Bring's influence and claims the stone for himself. Shinra proceeds to destroy the temple—freeing Homura and her prisonmates in the process—and indulge in his twisted dreams by creating tentacles on the beach to erotically ensnare Natsu and Shiki's female friends. Desiring even more power and popularity, Shinra uses Oasis to mimic the appearance and powers of Jellal, dubbing himself Genesis.
