Magic Barrier (魔法障壁 Mahō Shōheki) is a Caster Magic and Holder Magic which allows the user to create magical walls.
Description[]
A defensive form of Magic which allows the user to summon forth magical barriers to block attacks and protect its user and or targets. Some barriers are supposedly quite durable, only breaking before someone as superhumanly strong as Natsu Dragneel who was thrusting his full force upon one or after receiving a direct hit from a Magical Convergent Cannon: Jupiter. As an added benefit, some barrier allows magical attacks to pass through them from the inside, while at the same time preventing foes from approaching the caster.[1][2][3]

- The anime depicted several characters projecting Magic Seals to act as a form of defensive barrier that were not present in the manga. Such as Erza blocking the Jupiter Cannon,[4] or Simon blocking Jella's Altairis instead of his bare body in the manga.[5]
