Harpies are avian humanoid creatures from the Fairy Tail Universe.
Appearance[]
Harpies appear to be bird-like humans, having feathered winged arms, long pointy ears and clawed talons for feet. Most of their bodies are covered in black feathers.[1]
Magic and Abilities[]
Flight: Through the use of wings, the user gains the ability to fly.[1]
Immense Strength: Harpies have enough grip strength to carry heavy objects high into the sky with their claw-like feet.[1]
Species[]
- Black Harpy: This Harpy consists of mostly black feathers throughout their body and white feathers on their winged arms. They also appear more human shaped.[1]
- Green Harpy: This variant consists mostly of green feathers, with multicolored feathers at the edge of their wings and thighs. While they appear to have a female figure, but more bird-like than humans with digitigrade legs and larger talons.[2]

- In Greek and Roman mythology, a harpy is a half-human and half-bird personification of storm winds, usually depicted as female.
- In the Fairy Tail (Video Game), Harpies have the ability to use Wind Magic and heal others via the wind.[2]
