Request Archive

This is the page where formal requests for user rights are recorded and archived. Currently we aren't looking for any administrators, Policy & Standards Councilors, or chat moderators. If you so choose, you may make a request to be considered for any current open positions or any future positions that may arise. Please do not make a request unless you truly believe that you meet the following requirements.

Requirements

Administrator & Councilor

There are no concrete requirements for a user to become an Administrator. However, admins will usually consider those that:

• Have been contributing to the Fairy Tail Wiki for a considerable period of time and are regularly on the wiki
• Have a very strong history of contributions on the content namespace, though quality is more important than quantity
• Assist current users with questions, whether on user talk pages, in the forums or on article talk pages
• Be trusted by the current administrators
• Have no history of serious blocks due to vandalism or harassment
• Vigilant in stopping vandalism and keeping speculation off the article pages
• Enforce all of our official policies

Chat Moderator

In order to be considered for a chat moderator position, you:

• Must be a trusted user of the wiki
• Must be a very active user of chat
• Must have good judgement
• Must never show favoritism
• Must have no history of serious blocks due to vandalism or harassment
• Must have no history of serious bans on chat
• Must enforce our chat policies

Procedure

• If you think you met the requirements, add your name as a subheading under the section "Current Requests" and fill out the following template:

• After an active admin has reviewed the qualifications of the prospective candidate, they will post a response as to their decision. Which will be {{Done}}, {{Not Done}}, or {{Would Be Considered}} along with a reason.
• If confirmed, the person will be elevated in status, if not confirmed, don't be discouraged keep up the good work of maintaining the wiki and try again at a later time.
• If you are applying for the Chat Moderator Position, please include your timezone. We need to ensure that there will be a chat moderator at different time period.

User Description	So here I am. Although not visiting the wiki as frequently as I used to, I'm still looking forward to contributing to it. I've been actively writing episode and chapter summaries during and even before joining Anime Summary Guild and Lightning Update Tribe respectively. Also, aside from the aforementioned projects, I also joined and still am a member of Referencia Guild and Grammar Guild, with the former being the first one I've ever joined here. Doing work here has been nothing but a pleasure for me and I still have the passion for editing here and helping the wiki grow as much as I can. In addition, I've been preventing vandalism whenever I could and, in case of consistent wrong doings, I went ahead and let the authorities know, as evidenced by my flooding requests I left. Regarding the community itself, I met great people along the way and I've been doing my best in assisting other users with questions/requests/wonders, or generally helping them anyhow, whenever I could. Moreover, I've been taking part in discussions and other projects. (For instance, the one about ECS summaries, most of which I finished and are still waiting in my Sandbox to be used). And although not of much importance in my honest opinion, I'm a huge Fairy Tail fan, which can kind of be a contributing factor as to why I love editing here. In conclusion, I love the series, I love the wiki and everything it has, and I think getting additional responsibilities would be a wonderful experience.

User Description	I honestly wish I wouldn't have to compete against my man DM, but so be it. Although I have had a bit of a tight schedule recently, I still check on the wiki every day and make edits whenever I deem it necessary. When I have more time on my hands, I even take the initiative to search through the database for our many articles or visit this page in order to further improve the wiki that I have come to love. As a commited user who seeks to help out the community by taking on various time-consuming tasks (the most memorable at the top of my head being to go over and moderate all of the Alvarez Empire summaries for every character that had appeared at that point in the arc, even completely re-doing some of the summaries to keep them in-line with the wiki's policies and standards), I am a part of several of this site's projects. I am an (newly promoted) S-Class Mage of the Referencia Guild, a Mage of the Grammar Guild, as well as a member of the Lightning Update Tribe. During these last four months since I re-joined here, I've earned myself 4 'Mage of the Month' awards, having completed several jobs on behalf of the wiki. I also update at least 2 character summaries every week, helping the community as part of the LUT, so as to always keep the characters' arc summaries up to date with the most recent chapters. General wiki-work aside, I also believe I am fit for this position for other reasons. In spite of me initially leaving the wiki in late 2013 and just recently returning in June this year, I believe that I am experienced enough to become a councilor. Reason being that I have experience and history with this postion before, as I was a rollback over at the One Piece Wiki at the point in time when I was still active there; a wiki which I would say has got way more vandalizers than the Fairy Tail Wiki. Therefore, I am used to dealing with continous vandals and I know how to approach the situations that transpire through their vandalism. I also see myself as a reliable user (and person), one that would never abuse their rights in any way. I may go overboard or act a bit immature at times, particularly when I get angry (as some of you may know), but that is only in rare case-scenarios and I am quite certain I can behave completely up to expectations if I were to receive additional responsibility. Additionally, as far as I'm concerned, I am a user liked by most. At least my work is appreciated by most active users on the wiki. I am friendly and always approachable, making me someone whom people can ask questions to. I have many times helped people out when they've got issues and I've always received positive feedback for my support. I am also often active on chat, meaning that people can contact me very easily if there is an urgent issue. Overall, I communicate with most people here very well and I always participate in discussions regarding the wiki, of course in an objective way. So yeah. That's basically all I have to say. Turned out to be quite a lot actually... anyways, to conclude; I see myself as a reliable user who will do anything in my might to help out the wiki and improve it; I am also a likeable person, who loves the Fairy Tail series, as well as it's wiki and community, enough to wish to par-take in this massive project in such a profound and in-depth way.

User Description	No offense to DM or WU who are both great candidates in their own right, but Sane is the best candidate we have for P&S. Not only does he do a large armound of work in exceptional quality, he does the work no one else wants to do. When pretty much all of us dropped Ice Trail because it was boring, Sane kept with it and has been the one to update all the Ice Trail info. Sane is active in all wiki discussions, clearly voicing his opinion and engaging with others. Sane helps people with any questions they may have in chat and is also proactive in undoing vandalism and keeping the wiki in order. Sane is perfect for the position. However, Sane, being the pussy that he is (well, he's not a pussy, he has titlephobia so I get where he's coming from, but we just rag the shit out of him), would never put forth his name himself. P&S is less about having a title and more or less letting us show who it is we trust the most. You get a rollback tool and a colored link, yeah, sure, but Sane, you need to understand that it's not about the title or pseudo-sense of responsibility, but it's about you being told that you are just a very trusted editor and given a level of power comparable to admin. Sane, just think, you will no longer have to bitch about not editing pages, since most pages that are locked are locked to rollback. You get more editing privileges, more freedom, and blah blah blah. Just take it, man. It's something you earned, not something you get a badge for in your masthead. Also, you do not get to reject this application, Sane.

Not Done We aren't looking for any new councilors at the moments, besides, I'm sorry to say, but you aren't qualified for the position at the moment either.
