The Slaying Blade is the 6th chapter of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest by Atsuo Ueda, a sequel to Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail.

A sea serpent appears before Mercuphobia's sacrifice, Kyria, who assumes it to be the Water God Dragon and kills it with Blade Dragon Slayer Magic. Realizing her opponent was not the real Dragon, however, she takes her frustrations out on Natsu and his friends, identifying herself as a member of Diabolos, a Guild of Fifth Generation Dragon Slayers known as Dragon Eaters.

The woman battles the Water Dragon

Studying the fishes’ captive, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy ponder over the mysterious guild mark on her shoulder. Suddenly, the woman begins to talk, quickly identifying the trio as humans and cautioning them to stay back. At that point, the Water Dragon descends into the ocean, prompting the woman to break her bonds and slice open the cage. As she and the sea serpent engage in battle, the Fairy Tail mages realize that she had allowed her own capture in order to confront the Water Dragon. The woman easily defeats the serpent with a dragon slayer technique, before proceeding to consume its remains. However, she quickly discovers that her opponent had not been the true Water Dragon, disappointed at having been fooled.

Turning to the trio, the woman requests that they entertain her before attacking a now humanized Natsu. She recognizes his scent as that of a dragon slayer’s, explaining that she is categorized as a Dragon Eater, fifth generation dragon slayers who devoured dragons in order to take their powers. Introducing herself as Kyria, she reveals the existence of Diabolos, a guild solely comprised of these fifth generation dragon slayers.
