A Maritime Meeting is the 13th chapter of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest by Atsuo Ueda, a sequel to Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail.
Brandish explains the Spriggan 12's disbandment to Lucy, revealing her departure from the Alvarez Empire to find Aquarius's key. While declining to join forces with Team Natsu, she lends assistance by beaching Diabolos's ship atop a hill, allowing Fairy Tail to begin their counterattack. Meanwhile, Jellal questions his suspicions towards Touka, whose membership in Fairy Tail has complicated his investigation.
Summary
Brandish expresses happiness over Lucy’s well-being
Lucy questions Brandish of her business in Guiltina, to which the latter responds that she has come with a goal. She proceeds to explain what had become of the Alvarez Empire following the battle with Fairy Tail, including the Spriggan 12’s disbandment and Ajeel’s position as the country’s emperor. Despite not holding any resentment towards the Fairy Tail mages, Brandish refuses to assist them in their quest, informing Lucy that she intends to take Aquarius’ key for herself. Although somewhat agitated by Brandish’s declaration, Lucy prioritizes her guildmates’ safety, departing with the former Spriggan 12 on friendly terms.
Brandish beaches the Diabolos ship
In Magnolia, Jellal recalls his exchange with Laxus, in which the two men had reached a compromise regarding Touka in order to refrain from fighting. The Crime Sorcière mage ponders over the woman’s membership in Fairy Tail, wondering if she is truly the White Wizard.
Meanwhile, on the Diabolos ship, Kiria continues toying with Erza, who remains under the effects of the former’s spell. As the Diabolos mages sleep later that night, an angered Erza breaks free of Kiria’s influence and releases Natsu and Wendy from their bonds. She explains to her companions that the blade dragon slayer had used a hypnotic spell aimed towards the eyes, which, in her case, halved its effects due her artificial eye. However, they are unable to counterattack due to Natsu and Wendy’s motion sickness, at which point a passing-by Brandish beaches the ship by enlarging an underwater rock. Having successfully regained mobility, the two dragon slayers and Erza prepare to fight the now awakened Diabolos mages.
