She teases him and asks if he wants a peak, only to be surprised when he strips down to his underwear because of an old habit. Gray asks if she is embarrassed from showing off her body, but she states that she does not mind as it is her job. Juvina guesses that he has mixed feelings about other people seeing Juvia naked. But she says this is fine, she wants to love more than she wants to be loved, as this is what makes her happy. After a brief outburst, Gray says that he cares about Juvia, but that right now he is not good enough for her. Juvina asks when will he be good enough and has a job to do. She flashes Gray, saying it is on the house, making him remark that they are nothing alike in personalities and remembers the scar Juvia has because of him. Juvina tells him that he should not assume that Juvia will always be waiting for him. Gray gets it and states that he is building up his confidence, resolving to become a man who can protect her and see her with his head held high.

Manga & Anime Differences[]

  • Erza touches her chin with her right hand and leans forward when pondering her similarity to Elkis instead of touching her chin with her left hand and standing straight.
  • Nakku's suit has fewer spots in the anime.
  • The order in which Wendell changes her expressions is reversed in the anime.
  • Rocky was explicitly referred to as a pornography actor in the manga. In the anime, he is simply referred to as a "sexy actor". He is also surrounded by eight women instead of three.
  • In the anime, when Erza mentions she has an understanding about acting, Natsu is also seen with a shocked expression. The flashback showcasing Erza performing on stage, which was shown immediately afterward in the manga, is omitted.
  • In the manga, erotic noises can be heard as Lucy returns from where Nakku took Lusha. No such noises are heard in the anime.
  • Lucy rests her hand on Natsu's head when he lays on her lap in the manga. In the same scene in the anime, Lucy's hand cannot be seen.
  • During Erza's attempt at acting in the anime, the audience and stage are not shown.
  • The anime clarifies that Erza and Elkis switched back to their original places, and that Team Natsu left for Drasil the next day.
  • In the anime, Team Natsu's conversation after the train stops is replaced with a narration from Lucy. She and Wendy also do not change outfits in the anime.
  • Juvina wore a fur coat in the manga open at the bottom, while the anime shows her coat to be made from a different material closed at the bottom. Her scarf and the brim of her hat are also less detailed in the anime.
  • Juvina is seen blushing before she flashes Gray in the anime. Additionally, her breasts are not seen jiggling when she does so.
  • Juvina whispers in Gray's left ear instead of his right.
  • Lucy is still wearing her tracksuit upon arrival in Drasil. Wendy is wearing matching trousers instead of shorts when in her own tracksuit.
  • The Lelles' Inn Meal scene is omitted in the Anime. As such, Gray and Juvia's conversation while they walk the streets at night is extended. Gray tells Juvia they cannot share details of the quest with her, and the conversation about Gray's return and Juvia's worries is moved here. Furthermore, Lucy is wearing her X792 outfit (which she changes into later on at Lelles') instead of a new outfit, including the white bracelet that was present when she last wore the outfit but is not present in the adapted chapters.
  • After Juvia tells Gray to be wary of the White Wizard, she has already collapsed when she is next seen, instead of being shown collapsing with Gray catching her.
  • Lucy's panties are not seen when the tremors cause her to fall.
  • The map of Drasil is more detailed in the anime, showcasing wards of the city on Aldoron's fingers.
  • The old woman does not clarify that Drasil is a city on Aldoron's right hand.
  • The room in which Juvia sleeps has a different layout in the anime.
  • The portion of Team Natsu's chat where they discuss gathering information and Gray and Wendy saying they will look after Juvia is replaced with a narration from Lucy.
  • Disguised Mirajane appears after Natsu questions why people would build a city on a dragon in the anime, skipping Natsu and Lucy's follow-up exchange.
  • The middle finger park has a clock-like structure in the middle instead of a fountain in the anime.
  • The church interior is different from the manga in the following ways:
    • The door has a different pattern.
    • The floor is not tiled.
    • There is a carpet between the candles instead of ornate tiles. The candles and carpet can be seen when Team Natsu enters the church.
  • Mirajane is seen grabbing Erza's right wrist instead of laying a hand on her left shoulder in the anime.
  • As the Whiteout Fairy Tail members lower their hoods, Lucy and Erza also express their shock in the anime.
