The Critical Magic World, Elentear (臨界魔法世界エレンティア Rinkai Mahō Sekai Erentia) is an alternate world parallel to Earth Land and Edolas.
Description[]
The world of Elentear has various heavenly bodies in its sky and tangible cloud-like islands that can support multiple people, as well as having a vast ocean surrounded by islands.[1][2] The sky is colored green during the day[3] and has a single moon that doesn't wax or wane, so it stays a full moon at all times.[4] This world also has various mountains,[5] a snowy area where snow rises up from the ground and into the sky[6] and forests with sentient plants.[7]
Localization[]
Elentear is a world parallel to Earth Land similar to Edolas.[8]
Magic[]
In comparison to Earthland and Edolas, Elentear is said to have the most overflowing amount of Magic Power and essence.[9] It is said that its Magic Power has expanded to a point that it is on the verge of erupting and for generations its inhabitants employ priestesses also known as Whiteout Mages who would erase Elentear's overabundant Magic several times a year and prevent it from exploding.[10] The Magic in Elentear is out of the ordinary as described by Irene Belserion.[11] Selene later on revealed that she was the cause of the overflowing Magic Power in Elentear to an even greater extent than usual.[4]
Due to the Moon Dragon God distorting the Magic Power in Elentear, the Alta Face which is the main body of the Hands and the source of the overflowing Magic Power in Elentear, became active again after being sealed underground and aimed to destroy Elentear by filling it with an overabundant amount of Magic Power.[12][13] With the destruction of the Alta Face and the actions of the Whiteout Magic users, Elentear's Magic Power has been stabilized and harmonized, causing it to return to its original state.[14]
Spirit Arts[]
Aside from Magic, the residents of Elentear are able to use Spirit Arts which are different from Magic and Curses and created through the use of Spiria, which this world is also rich and overflowing with. Spirit Arts are immune to Magic or magical weapons and can only be countered by another Spirit Art or by someone or something that has been enchanted with Spiria.[15]
Races[]
Similar to Earth Land, Elentear has many different races besides humans, including the Exceed.[16] There are also various creatures that exist in Elentear including the Alta Face's Hands that inhabit the ocean[17] and the ground,[18] a blob-like creature with multiple eyes and mouth found,[19] sentient plants such as flowers with faces on them[20] and various species of Yokai.[21]
