Cultists are individuals who zealously devote themselves to a person or movement.

Overview[]

Cultists are devoted believers for a cause, however immoral and unethical it may be, often committing crimes such as kidnapping and enslaving civilians or sacrificing several lives for their cause. Most cultists seem to believe that these actions will appease whatever being they view as their leader and/or deity and result in them being rewarded. Lacking any care or consideration for the lives they’ve ended and ruined, some even take enjoyment in doing so, even to children and the elderly. Some Cultists genuinely believe their actions are justified for cleansing the weak. Some Mage guilds also form fanatic religions, the same as a cult and operate as such.[1][2]

Abilities[]

Most notable organized cults have Mages in their ranks, while their normally used for offence and combat, primarily using Black Magic specifically even the most forbidden kind to cause harm to others, be it for torture, controlling one’s body[3] manifesting viruses in one’s body[4] or sacrificing a large quantity of people including their own people for a powerful summoning by removing a part of their own bodies before hand.[5]

However, not all cultists use Black Magic, as Rebellious, a White Magic-based cult, was founded directly in response to fear of a Black Magic cult.[6] The cult's goal is to restrict, control, and erase the world's Magic, due to believing that too much powerful Magic could be dangerous, hence those at the center of the cult have wielded the Magic Whiteout, capable of fulfilling functions aligning with the cult's goals, among other functions.[7][8][9][10] The cult's followers are so dedicated to the "White Creed" that it can be absorbed by others, causing them to become devoted to it as well.[11] The cult seeks out others who use White Magic, such as White Dragon Slayer Magic, as potential recruits.[12]
