Fighting Spirit is the 482nd chapter of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail.

With Hargeon thrown into turmoil by the historias, the Fiore Mages desperately try to hold their own. Erza, defeated and thoroughly lacerated, dispels Neinhart's creations ranged against her by scaring them away with her sheer willpower. Jellal and Kagura immediately come to the aid of their friend, with the former pointing his rage at the Spriggan 12, who is succumbed in Erza's familiar presence.

Summary

Gray swears to bring down Ur's clone

As Fiore's Hargeon forces battle against their historias, Gray and Lyon find themselves overwhelmed by the historia of their former master, Ur, who taunts their inability to harm her. Although shaken to see the return of his beloved mentor, Lyon agrees with Gray that the phantom before them is nothing more than their enemy's devilry. However, he also admits that the clone's power is identical to Ur's, only to witness Gray's determination to take down anybody who would dare defile their master's memory. Simultaneously, Meredy fights Zancrow, surprised at his presence. The man assures her that he died on Tenrou Island, but expresses his desire to punish her for surviving the ordeal. Elsewhere, Juvia, unable to do anything but defend herself from Keyes' onslaught, condemns the act of disturbing the rest of the dead even as her opponent calls his current predicament amusing. While Wendy loses her mobility due to the damage she suffered in her battle against Dimaria, Laxus curses the revival of Hades as the battle.

	Erza commands the phantoms begone

Meanwhile, on Neinhart's vessel, Erza finds herself pitted against Kyouka, Ikaruga and Azuma. She manages to dexterously fend off her opponents for a while, but is soon overwhelmed. Seeing her unfaltering will, Neinhart praises her even as Erza is spreadeagled by Azuma so that Kyouka may have her way with the Fairy Tail Mage. The Demon begins to torture her victim despite Azuma's urging to finish Erza off at once. However, Erza coldly declares their reunion to be at an end and glares fierecely at the trio, telling them to vanish if they do not wish to fall by her hand again. Horrified to see their victim's rage, the apparitions dissipate, much to their creator's astonishment. At that moment, Kagura and Erza return aboard the ship to help their fallen comrade. Learning Erza's name when Kagura calls out to the woman as she tends to her, Neinhart is unheedful of Jellal's anger directed towards him as the Shield of Spriggan breaks into a cold sweat upon realizing that the one whom he has tortured is related to Lady Irene.
