Fighting Spirit is the 482nd chapter of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail.

With Hargeon basked in full turmoil by the historias, Erza overcomes her past fears, dispelling Neinhart's creations after being thoroughly lacerated. As Jellal and Kagura come to their friend's aid, the former points his rage at the Shield of Spriggan, who is succumbed in by Erza's familiar presence.

Summary

As the wizards of Hargeon struggle against their historias, Erza faces off against her own. Kyôka, Azuma, and Ikaruga prove to be to big a challenge for the injured Fairy Tail Mage, and Kyôka orders Azuma to have Erza tied up. Kyôka taunts Erza, reminding her of their time together in Tartaros. Kyôka begins to torture Erza as Ikaruga calls this unladylike, and Azuma impatiently asks Kyôka to kill Erza. Kyôka injures Erza severely, causing the redhead to scream in agony.

Erza threatens Kyôka, Azuma, and Ikaruga

Erza, although in pain, tells Kyôka she's had enough of their "reunion" and tells the trio that although they truly were powerful foes in the past, they had all tasted defeat by her hand. Kyôka angrily slashes at Erza again, but is shocked when Erza feels no pain. Erza tells the Historias to leave, unless they wished to feel her blade once more. The frightened Historias disappear, shocking Neinhart as an awakened Jellal and Kagura run to their friend's aid. Kagura runs to Erza's side, but an angry Jellal glares at Neinhart and prepares to battle him. Neinhart, still in shock, notes how similar Erza's magic and appearance are to that of Irene's.
