The Black Wizard is the 209th chapter of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail.

After a quick fight, the mysterious Mage disappears, leaving Natsu and company confused. Elsewhere, the members of Grimoire Heart are nearing the island; their goal is to capture the mysterious youth who is wandering about the island: the infamous Dark Mage, Zeref. Meanwhile, the Fairies continue their exam, completely unaware of the danger surrounding them.

Summary

Natsu punches Zeref

After saving Evergreen and Elfman, Natsu demands to know who the Killing Mage is. Happy flies over and notices all the tree around them dead and the group realizes that the boy's Magic was the cause of it. The boy then speaks, telling Natsu that he's grown and he has been waiting to meet him. Natsu admits he has no idea who he is and punches him in the face, knocking him to the ground.

As if not even feeling the punch, the boy starts to cry and realizes that Natsu "still cannot destroy" him. He then starts to feel another wave of his Magic coming and tells everyone to run away. The group heeds his warning but Natsu is unable to get out of the area of the spell's effect. The spell then dissipates and Natsu emerges from it, unharmed. However, his scarf, which was given to him by Igneel, has turned black and Happy realizes that Igneel left it to protect him.

	Grimoire Heart heads towards the island

Elsewhere, Mest is able to feel the boy's Magic and is happy to know the Killing Mage is still on the island. Meanwhile, on the Grimoire Heart Airship, Ultear also detects his Magic, and informs her master, Hades. Hades smiles and is glad to know he has found the Killing Mage, best known as the Black Mage Zeref. He along with the Seven Kin of Purgatory then make their way to Tenrou Island to capture him.
