Mest is the 207th chapter of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail.

Carla and Pantherlily fly to the Tenrou Island. While flying, Carla tells Pantherlily what happened a week ago. A member of the guild named Mest, claimed to be Mystogan's student, asked Wendy to become his partner in the exams, a request with which Wendy agreed to. The two Exceed arrive at the island just as the second round of the trial begins.

Summary

Carla and Pantherlily fly towards Tenrou Island because of their bad feelings about Mest, Wendy's partner. Carla tells Lily about what happened a week ago. Mest asked to be Wendy partner and said he was Mystogan's student. Carla tells him no, but Wendy ignores her and agrees because she felt she needed to pay Mystogan back in some way. Carla then says Wendy hasn't talked to her since. Carla and Lily then both agree that the exam as a whole gives them a bad feeling.

Mest defeated by Gray and Loke

Elsewhere Mest wakes up and realizes that he and Wendy got beaten by Loke and Gray. Gray and Loke celebrate and comment on how easy Mest was to beat. They both have trouble remembering any other encounters with Mest, and cannot even remember who he was partnered with last year. The two get to the end of their path and find the other winners there along with Makarov. Natsu just stands looking at the ground. Gray asks what happened to Juvia, but Makarov just tells him she ran into Erza, who as always, took it too far. Lucy then realizes that Elfman and Evergreen had to be left with Mirajane, so they all assume that they lost. But then they come through claiming to have beaten her. When asked how, they just say they caught her off guard.

Makarov then says that the second exam is about to begin. Happy goes over to Natsu, and asks when hes going to stop being sad. Natsu then gets up and declares he will become an S-Class and defeat everyone there. They all accept his challenge and wait eager for the next exam.

Somewhere else on the island, Wendy and Mest remain in their cave. Mest tells Wendy that this is the Holy Land of Fairy Tail not only because Mavis's grave is here, but its also because of its barrier that makes it untraceable. Mest then tells her there's a secret on the island and gets her to explore with her.

Carla and Pantherlily arrive at the island and search on foot. Pantherlily tells Carla that Mystogan having a student was highly unlikely because he always used a sleeping spell just when entering the guild. Pantherlily is very doubtful that Mest is actually part of Fairy Tail.
