Brian (ブライアン Buraian) is a member of the Fire and Flame Guild.

Appearance

Brian wears a formal gentleman style attire while having a jester-like aesthetic. He wears his hair in a short bob cut hair with a checkered top hat, and has several piercings on his left ear. He also appears to be wearing makeup, such as mascara in a dripping pattern and dark lip. He’s also shown to have sharp teeth and stitch patterns at the edge of his mouth and around his neck. Brian wears white-colored shoes, pants and tailcoat with black inner linings and diamond patterns going down the coat. Underneath he also wears a checkered vest and a white button shirt with a bow tie on his neck that has a dice accessory.

Synopsis

100 Years Quest arc

Brian first appears at the town Hawthorn drinking at the bar B-Cock when he overheard Natsu’s group asking the bartender about his guild. He states that he’s hungry as he comes over to Happy and Carla only for Natsu to angrily step in between them, Brian quickly takes his chance as his hand enlarges with a huge mouth on his palm to eat the Exceeds, Natsu stops him with a fiery punch. Brian fell to the ground but his body somehow absorbs the fire on him and stands up unscathed. He takes his leave not that he has eaten.

Natsu goes after Brian wanting answers, when it dawned on him that Natsu is also a fire wizard, he asked the Dragon Slayer if he would like to join his guild as they’re recruiting various fire mages, but Natsu just punches Brian back with greater force. Brian then spits out a breath of fire from his palm mouths at Natsu only for them to be eaten, much to his surprise. Natsu attacks from above but Brian’s hat also turns into a mouth, grabs Natsu’s leg and throws him. Brian realizes that Natsu is the one his master Ignia mentioned to bring the boy over to him. When asking Natsu if he’s willing to come, he agreed but wants to bring inform his group first. Brian says that won’t be needed as the town around them has seemingly turned to ash.

However, since Natsu doesn’t smell anything burning, he soon realizes that it’s all an illusion. As the town returns to normal, one of Brian’s guild mates; Raj revealed himself to be the caster. He comes down making fun of Natsu’s hair, comparing it to a spiky sea urchin as he touches it, Natsu then punches Raj in annoyance only for it to be another of his illusions. Brian reminds Raj that they need to take him to Ignia. Natsu will make sure they take after punching some more for angering him. Using his sense of smell, Natsu locates Raj and strikes him for real this time. Brian tries to capture Natsu with his mouth hands but dodges above, Brian then opens the mouth in his hat to catch him but was surprised when Natsu willingly put his fist inside it. Natsu then ignites from his elbow to punch Brian to the ground with great force. Raj then casts a fire illusion around Natsu, only for him to eat it. As Natsu was able to strike Raj again, their ally Lecka arrives in time to assist them and gets the upper hand on Natsu with his Fire-Make spells that gave Brian the chance to capture the Dragon Slayer within his palm mouths. Brian praises Lecka as the two prepare to take him to Ignia. Lecka tells Raj to take care of the rest of Natsu’s team but leave Erza to Wed.

Magic and Abilities

Fire Eater: Brian is able to enlarge parts of his body like his hands and form large sharp toothed mouths on the palms and consume anything with them. Brian has also shown to consume any fire that lands on his body with no visible damage. His extra mouths are also able to spew fire breaths as well. These can also be used to simply trap others, his arms can still return to normal size without effecting those inside. Brian can also sprout these giant mouths from his top hat. (Unnamed)

Dragonized Form: As a result of the Dragonization Magic spreading through Guiltina, Brian took on a Dragonized Form. Unlike many, Brian did not transform fully into a Dragon, and also retained his personality.

Immense Durability: Brian has displayed tremendous durability during battle as he is able to receive multiple attacks from Natsu and remain unharmed and still smiling.
