Beta Heaven (β天国 Bēta Hevun) is a mental world where the dead gather.
Description[]
Beta Heaven is described as a world within the subconscious mind that reflects a person's image of heaven, therefore everyone's personal Beta Heaven is different. One example is it appearing as a cloudy world with rocky cliffs with full of trees everywhere and some buildings. One enters their Beta Heaven when on the verge of death, where they see and interact with the people from their past who have died, even those who were once prior enemies and those who are related to someone close to them despite never officially meeting them, all of which live peaceful and happy lives. Since this is not the afterlife, the people in this world are not the actual souls of the individuals who have died. Those whose deaths are not yet determined are still able to return from this world, but they will lose all memories they have spent in here.[1]
